Overview
Centaurs are Level 65, aggressive Mobsmobs on Potterworld. They are famous primarily for their bodies: the torso, or the top half, is most similar to a human, while the body, or the bottom half, is like a horse. Despite their dual body types, Centaurs are actually their own separate species. While the fact that they are not human might lead the uneducated wizard to believe that they are of lesser intelligence, Centaurs are in fact very skilled, and most have talent in healing magic, astronomy, and divination.

While they have “human” intelligence, they remain classified as beasts by the Ministry of Magicians at their own request. Much like horses, Centaurs come in several colours and sizes. The most prominent tones are browns and blacks, but they come in white as well. Many witches and wizards come into contact with them during their time at Hogsworth, most notably in the Questsquests Eyes on the Inside, Creature Collection, and Tainted Blood.

Behaviour and Defence
Centaurs are proud beings, and choose to take stock in naturistic items like their predecessors instead of modernising their tools. Their primary function is to hunt, and they carry around their bows and arrows while reading the signs that nature so readily presents them due to the years spent in the wilderness. Despite how easy it may be to classify them as herds of survivalist academics who roam the woods in search of nature’s essence, Centaurs are in fact quite territorial and will take up arms in an instant if the Ministry impedes on their land. They have a sense of honour, regardless, and so will not commit violence around or against young children unless they have been prodded into it.

It is, in some cases, inevitable that you should have to fight against the Centaurs. The task of fighting one is rare, especially considering they live in groups of ten to fifty, but if only facing one, you should only have 3125 HP to deplete. While their weapons may be primitive, their skills certainly are not, and in hand-to-hand combat, they deal 625 damage alone. When allowed to fire from a distance, these skilled hunters deal over 300 more damage, 937 damage in total with their bows. As Centaurs are widely renowned for their fighting prowess, it is best left for 7th and 8th-years to handle them, while lower years defend and heal from behind.

Habitat
Because of their ancient origins, it is hard to place precisely where the Centaurs first came to be. While several Auralocks have tried to draw it out of them, the Centaurs are a proud and mysterious group who prefer to keep their history to themselves. For now, all the Ministry knows is that there are swathes of provided safe forests for the Centaurs to live in so that witches and Centaurs can live in harmony, despite being separate.

On Potterworld, Centaurs can be found in the Deep Forest, southwest of Haggleton. Most of the time, if you search around their hunting grounds, there are outcroppings of Lunaplum Lvl. 60 plant nodes fresh for the picking.

Defeat
Upon defeat, Centaurs have a chance of dropping Gold Footholds, Rowan Handle, Cotton Handlewraps, and Twig Bristles&nbsp;as well as&nbsp;Centaur Blood, Centaur Hair, and Centaur Eyes.&nbsp; These ingredients can be used in Professionsprofession items like the Charming Fizz Cakes VII, White Cocoacursed Tea VII, Transformation Tonic VII, and Charming Concoction VII, as well as crafting Broomsbrooms. Centaurs also have a small chance of dropping random Broom Recipes.
Overview
Hippogriffs are Level 67, neutral mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located in the Deep Forest to the northwest of Haggleton. These creatures are quite powerful and require strong spells in order to defeat. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests Dangers of the Night and Plant Protection Program, you may also encounter them during the A Feathered Friend quest.

A Hippogriff is a creature that has the front of an eagle and the back of a horse. While they are often compared or mixed up with the mythical Griffin, the biggest difference between the two is that the Hippogriff has the back of a horse and the Griffin has the back of a lion. When a person first encounters this creature they are typically in shock due to the Hippogriff’s majestic presence. However, after this period has passed, an individual is able to observe their feathers and hair more closely. These majestic creatures can have many different colours of hair; these colours include stormy grey, bronze, pinkish roan, gleaming chestnut, and inky black. Additionally, Hippogriffs have giant orange eyes and a steel-coloured beak.

Breeding Hippogriffs has become a popular career in the wizarding community. These creatures typically only lay one egg at a time, but the egg hatches within 24 hours. While a baby Hippogriff will begin to fly after about a week of being born, it takes a bit more time until they are actually able to embark on a lengthier journey. However, it is important to be careful when approaching these creatures, as they can be quite dangerous due to their long nails.

Behaviour & Defence
While travelling through the Hippogriff’s nest area, Hippogriffs will begin to spawn. However, they will only start to attack if a player attacks them first. While these creatures do not move extremely fast, they have abilities that allow them to quickly teleport a short distance and deal damage to a player farther away.

Hippogriffs have a total of 3395 HP each. Their basic attack deals 679 damage and they have three special abilities known as swipe, AOE, and dash. After being hit with a spell, a Hippogriff may choose to use one of these three abilities against the player. Their swipe attack is a special ability that swipes at a player and deals 1018 damage. A Hippogriff may then use their AOE attack which is an Area of Effect ability that also deals 1018 damage. Finally, this creature might charge up their dash ability in order to teleport towards a player and attack them, dealing 1018 damage.

Multiple Hippogriffs can all spawn at once, and when antagonised, can deal quite a bit of damage. Continuously strafing and keeping a distance helps to avoid both their basic and special attacks. It is also important to have strong spells on hand in order to survive and defeat these creatures.

Much like regular eagles, Hippogriffs typically eat insects, birds, and smaller animals such as ferrets. If they are unable to find any of these then they will instead look for worms to eat. Hippogriffs are often very violent creatures until they have been tamed. However, only a trained individual should even attempt to do so, as these creatures are very proud and particular when it comes to how they are tamed. In order to tame a Hippogriff, one must first show respect by bowing to them and waiting until they bow back. During the whole process, eye contact can not be broken, and the Hippogriff must be the first one to move. If these steps are not followed correctly it could lead to this creature attacking the individual. Even though this is a long and delicate process, Hippogriffs become incredibly loyal and protective of the person who was able to befriend and tame them.

Habitat
Hippogriffs typically place their nests on the ground. On Potterworld, these creatures can be found living in the Deep Forest near the mountains and to the northwest of Haggleton at the Magizoologist camp, which was founded by Antonya and Samuel Embers. Additionally, Puffing Pod Lvl. 60 plant nodes can be found scattered around their nests as well as the surrounding forest area.

Defeat
As a Level 67 mob, Hippogriffs have the chance of dropping Level 61-70 broom materials as well as exclusive mob drops. These drops include Gold Footholds, Rowan Handle, Cotton Handlewraps, and Twig Bristles as well as Hippogriff Feather, Hippogriff Dung, and Hippogriff Heart. Additionally, like most other types of mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping and Broom Recipes. Materials such as Footholds, Handle, Handlewraps, and Bristles can play a part in crafting such recipes into brooms. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests Dangers of the Night and Plant Protection Program, they can also be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Puffing Pod Fudge VII, Jester's Stew VII, Jester's Tea VII, and Transformation Tonic VII.

Overview
Manticores are Level 69, aggressive mobs in Potterworld. They are found northwest of Haggleton by a mountain range within the Deep Forest. While none of their exclusive mob drops is required in any quest, this mob can be encountered during the Tainted Blood quest.

This abhorrent beast possesses the head of a man, the body of a lion, and the wings of a dragon. Some believe its venomous tail is similar to that of a scorpion, yet others believe it is filled with poisonous spines similar to a porcupine’s quills.

When Manticores are cross-bred with Flame Crawlers, their offspring are known as Explosively-Ended Newts.

Behaviour and Defence
Manticores are an aggressive mob with a taste for human flesh. Upon nearing their habitat, they will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive and carnivorous behaviour.

Take caution when dealing with this mob as its claws and tail are extremely lethal, and, moreover, they are highly intelligent and capable of human speech. Manticores will hide their bodies in tall grass, showing only their human faces, and sing sweetly to lure unsuspecting prey. If a victim attempts to run away, the Manticore will fly after them at a terrifying speed and launch its quills/stinger like an arrow to paralyse them. After successfully subduing its prey, the manticore will devour them whole while singing and leave no trace of the victim behind. Be wary that their tough, golden skin repels most spells, which makes them more difficult to defeat.

Manticores have a total of 3690 HP each. Their basic melee attack deals 738 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and dash. After being hit with a damage spell, a Manticore will either swipe at the player with white slashes or dash towards the player in a flurry of red particles. If the player gets hit by either, 1107 damage is dealt.

Habitat
Originally, Manticores were known to live in Persia and Greece. Within Potterworld, Manticores can be sighted flying around the mountain range northwest of Haggleton, which lies towards the northwest end of Great Britain within the Deep Forest. This spawn area resides in a roofed forest biome containing a variety of stone and red blocks, spruce and oak trees, a mountain range, as well as the occasional cave. Mainly Wormwood Lvl. 60 plant nodes can be found here.

Defeat
As a Level 69 mob, Manticores have the chance of dropping Level 61-70 broom materials such as Gold Footholds, Rowan Handle, Cotton Handlewraps, and Twig Bristles. There is a rare chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Manticore drops. These include Manticore Hide, Manticore Meat, and Manticore Sting, which can be used in crafting the following profession items: Puffing Pod Fudge VII, Jester's Stew VII, White Cocoacursed Tea VII, Hijinx Mixture VII, and Piercing Potion I.
Overview
Unicorns are Level 71, neutral Mobsmobs that you can discover on Potterworld. You will encounter this creature in the following Questsquests: Plant Protection Program, Any Means Necessary, and Eyes on the Inside.

Unicorns are one of the most majestic creatures. Their resemblance to a horse is uncanny. Unlike the non-magical animal, Unicorns have a white horn that emerges from the top of their head. This creature is sought out by poachers for their magical properties, including their tail hair and blood.

Behaviour & Defence
Unicorns, for the most part, lack any sort of offensive or defensive mechanisms. However, their speed has evolved to go at an extraordinary pace. This helps them to flee if they ever sense any type of danger.

Unicorns possess 3845 HP, which is relatively low compared to the health of mobs close to their level. Their melee attack is capable of dealing 769 damage. One of their special abilities, dash, can deal upwards of 1153 damage to their opponent. The other special ability of a Unicorn, sprint, allows for them to move away from a threat swiftly.

Habitat
Unicorns are located far from any other sign of life. The forests in which they dwell are cold, isolated from nearby towns. The closest habitable area is Haggleton. The Unicorn forest is located southwest of this town and can easily be spotted due to its bright white and blue trees. Lunaplum Lvl. 70 plant nodes can be found around the forest.

Defeat
As a Level 71 mob, Unicorns have the chance of dropping Level 71-80&nbsp;Broomsbroom materials such as Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles. There is a rare chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Unicorn drops. These include Unicorn Blood, Unicorn String, and Unicorn Eye, which can be used in crafting the following Professionsprofession items: Charming Fizz Cakes VIII, White Cocoacursed Tea VIII, Transformation Tonic VIII, Charming Concoction VIII, Charming Fizz Cakes IX, White Cocoacursed Tea IX, Transformation Tonic IX, Charming Concoction IX, and Felix Fortuna.
* Runespore Skin
* Broom Recipe

Overview
Runespores are Level 74, aggressive mobs that currently resides in a low valley southeast of the town of Antrum. There is currently no quest that requires the player to defeat Runespores, however, their mob-exclusive drops can also be used to craft profession recipes.

Runespores are snake-like creatures with three heads sprouting from the base of their neck. The skin on the back of the Runespore is a murky orange, while their front side is a pale ash-yellow. On their spines, dark and bulky scales are lodged. There also are black stains throughout the creature’s body, leaving a faint square pattern on the beast. When in the presence of a Runespore, it is easy to become intimidated. The creature stands at 7 feet tall and is able to rapidly move toward its target.

Behaviour & Defence
Runespores are known for their rapid and varied dashes that allow them to stun their victims. They are able to devour their prey within seconds of being spotted, making a single mistake consequential when dealing with a Runespore. When a Runespore is out of sight, they will take the chance to take their target by surprise. They are best dealt with from a distance using projectiles and throwable weapons. One possible, but incredibly risky, way of fighting a Runespore is by climbing on their back and attempting to fight them close-range. This tactic rarely works out, however, if it must be performed, rapid close-range spells or stabbing with a melee weapon is the most effective form of attack.

With a total of 4350 HP, Runespores can be incredibly difficult to kill without spells that do additional damage. Their melee attack deals 870 damage and they have three additional abilities: a swipe attack, a sprint attack, and a dash attack that will all deal 1305 damage. The Runespore’s swipe attack will come out in a white slash when the player is close to the Runespore. The sprint attack allows the Runespore to sprint a large area towards the player, the player should look out for black particles coming off in vertical lines from the creature to see when the Runespore will attack soon. When the Runespore dashes, it will quickly move towards its target and black particles will come from the ground where the Runespore stands.

Habitat
Runespores are found in a sandy valley southeast of Antrum. There is a river running through their habitat, along with rocky protrusions sticking out of the sand. The sand ranges from a light yellow colour to a darker red colour that is most often found along the river. By following the river to the east, the town of Rushmore is eventually happened upon. Additionally, Asphodel Lvl. 40 plant nodes can be found around the area.

Defeat
Upon their defeat, Runespores have a chance of dropping Level 71-80 broom materials, which include Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles. They have the rare chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, they can drop Runespore-exclusive drops such as Runespore Venom, Runespore Egg, and Runespore Skin. These Runespore-exclusive drops can be used to create the following profession items: Dark Cocoacursed Delights VIII, Puffing Pod Tea VIII, Cursed Brew VIII, Piercing Potion II, Dark, Cocoacursed Delights IX, Puffing Pod Tea IX, Cursed Brew IX, and Piercing Potion III.
Overview
Vexlings are Level 72, aggressive Mobsmobs that currently resides in the forest northeast of the town of Antrum. There are currently no Questsquests that require the player to defeat Vexlings, however, their mob-exclusive drops can also be used to craft Professionsprofession recipes.

Vexlings are short creatures, with a stature of around 3 feet. They have elfish features and pointed faces, along with bright orange eyes. Red, yellow, and orange spikes protrude from their heads.&nbsp;Despite their small size, they are incredibly dangerous beasts. These creatures notably love the taste of children and are often said to not be good for anything but death.&nbsp;

Behaviour & Defence
Vexlings are aggressive creatures that prefer to attack children. Over the years they have become quite knowledgeable of many human languages. They use their vicious cackle to attract young children into the shadows, as their laugh is inexplicably alluring to kids. Once they get a hold of children, they will often consume them. Due to this, Vexlings are often seen with blood dripping from their mouths and sharp teeth. Despite preferring to eat children, Vexlings will still attack adults. After choosing their victims, Vexlings will shoot dart-like objects at the victim that will stun and paralyse them.

With a total of 4005 HP, Vexlings can be incredibly difficult to kill without Spells Listspells that do additional damage. Their melee attack deals 801 damage and they have three additional abilities: a swipe attack, a sprint attack, and a dodge attack that will all deal 1305 damage. The Vexling’s swipe attack will come out in a white slash when the player is close to the Vexling and will do 1305 damage. The sprint attack allows the Vexling to sprint a large area towards the player, the player should look out for orange and red particles coming from the creature to see when the Vexling will attack soon. Additionally, a trail of orange particles will follow the Vexling when it sprints. When the Vexling dodges, it will quickly move to the side and black particles will come out of the creature.

Habitat
While Vexlings originate from the Black Forest in Germany, they can be found deep in the forest northwest of Antrum on Potterworld. Up in the mountains, in a forest of spruce trees, they tend to congregate in the clearings between the trees. Scattered throughout the area, especially by the base of trees, Wrinklefig Lvl. 70 plant nodes can be found and harvested.

Defeat
Upon their defeat, Vexlings have a chance of dropping Level 71-80 Broomsbroom materials, which include Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles. They have the rare chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, they can drop Vexling-exclusive drops such as Vexling Ear, Vexling Brain, and Vexling Remains. These Vexling-exclusive drops can be used to create the following profession items: Jester's Stew VIII, Puffing Pod Tea VIII, Hijinx Mixture VIII, Restoration Draught VIII, Jester's Stew IX, Puffing Pod Tea IX, Hijinx Mixture IX, and Restoration Draught IX.
Overview
Kappas are Level 76, aggressive mobs in Potterworld. They are found in the coastal marsh between Walden and Gnollberg Port. Their exclusive mob drops are not required in any quests but can be used for professions.

This monkey-like creature possesses unique green, scale-covered skin. Webbed hands extend from their arms, and a bowl-like impression nests on top of its head, holding water that provides a Kappa with its strength.

Behaviour & Defence
Kappas are an aggressive mob with murderous intentions. Upon nearing their habitat, they will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive behaviour.

Any human that wades into the shallow waters has placed themselves in danger of being attacked by the murderous Kappa. After exercising their brutal way of strangling and drowning their victims, Kappas feast on the blood of their human victims, as this is their source of nutrition. However, there are ways to escape the clutches of one of these creatures. They can be rendered temporarily harmless by the victim throwing a cucumber with their name carved into it at the Kappa. Another method would be getting the Kappa to bow its head and spill the water that resides at the top of its head. This will make the Kappa lose its strength and provide the victim with an opportunity to escape.

Kappas have a total of 4720 HP each. Their basic melee attack deals 944 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and AOE (Area of Effect). After being hit with a damage spell, a Kappa will either swipe at the player with white slashes or create a circle of blue particles for the player to avoid. If the player gets hit by either, 1416 damage is dealt.

Habitat
Originally, these vicious water demons are known to primarily reside in Japan’s shallow ponds and lakes. Within Potterworld, Kappas can be sighted lurking around the coastal marsh east of Walden and west of Gnollberg Port, all of which are towards the northeast end of Great Britain. This spawn area resides in a forest biome containing a variety of dirt and podzol, spruce and oak trees, small ponds of water, as well as the occasional rock mounds. Mainly Gurgle Weed Lvl. 70 nodes can be found here.

Defeat
As a Level 76 mob, Kappas have the chance of dropping Level 71-80 broom materials such as Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles. There is a rare chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Kappa drops. These include Kappa Foot, Kappa Gills, and Kappa Tooth, which can be used in crafting the following profession items: Charming Fizz Cakes VIII, Charming Fizz Tea VIII, Charming Concoction VIII, Restoration Draught VIII, Charming Fizz Cakes IX, Charming Fizz Tea IX, Charming Concoction IX, Restoration Draught IX, and Felix Fortuna.
Overview
<p>Dragons are Level 78, aggressive Mobsmobs on Potterworld. They are currently located in the abandoned research facilities in Greenshore Harbour which is off the coast of Gnollberg Port. While their exclusive mob drops are not required in any Questsquests, you may encounter them during the A Tattered Tale, Scaly Suspicions, Investigative Research, and Calming the Beast quests.</p>
<p>Dragons are large, magical, fire-breathing creatures. They are excellent fliers and are able to soar through the skies with ease due to their large wingspan of three meters. These creatures also have a length of at least two and a half meters from their snout to their tail. There are four different known breeds of Dragons that have been identified by the magical community: Emerald, Snouthorn, Fireball, and Thorntail. Each of these breeds have a different appearance and colour than the others. Emerald Dragons are half dark green and half cream with white horns on the top of their heads. Snouthorns are maroon and cream in colour with a cream-coloured horn on their nose. Fireball Dragons are red in colour with light yellow hair in the appearance of a lion’s mane. Additionally, they also have two yellow whiskers that look similar to a moustache. Lastly, Thorntails are two different shades of brown and have spines on their backs and tails.</p>
<p>Dragons can transmit Dragon Scale Disease to other dragons or humans. Take caution when encountering dragons as this disease has no official cure.</p>

Behaviour & Defence
Upon entering the research facilities, Dragons will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive behaviour. While these creatures do not move extremely fast initially, they will begin to fly more quickly after being hit with a Spells Listspell and have abilities that allow them to quickly teleport a short distance and deal damage to a player farther away.

Dragons have a total of 5125 HP each. Their basic attack deals 1025 damage and they have four special abilities known as swipe, firestorm, dash, and fireball. After being hit with a spell, a Dragon may choose to use one of these four abilities against the player. Their swipe attack is a special ability that swipes at a player and deals 1537 damage. The Dragon may then use their firestorm attack which is an AOE (Area of Effect) ability that deals an initial hit of 1537 damage and then sets the player on fire; without a proper spell to put this flame out, the fire tick damage can deal up to 1923 total damage to a player. These creatures also have a dash ability that allows them to quickly teleport towards a player and attack while also setting them on fire; this attack deals an initial hit of 1537 damage and can deal up to 1836 total damage. Finally, a Dragon might charge up their fireball attack and shoot out a missile dealing an initial hit of 1537 damage and setting a player on fire to deal up to 1923 total damage.&nbsp;

Multiple Dragons can spawn at a time and all fly towards a certain player. This can quickly get overwhelming, as they can deal quite a bit of damage through fire. Continuously strafing and keeping a distance helps to avoid both their basic and special attacks. It is also important to have healing and flame-dousing spells on hand in order to survive and defeat these creatures.

A Dragon’s diet consists of a variety of different creatures ranging from small rabbits to even humans. However, they prefer to eat livestock such as sheep and cows, as one of these smaller creatures will give them enough food to last a week. Hay can be incorporated into their diet as well if they are in captivity. These creatures are powerful and successful hunters due to their claws and insanely sharp fangs. The claws of a Dragon are used to snatch up any prey and are even able to slash through and puncture flesh. It is also rumoured that their fangs are sharper than an actual sword which allows them to easily overpower another creature.

Dragons can be extremely dangerous creatures when first encountered and will intimidate anything they come into contact with using piercing eyes and sharp claws. This is because, if they feel threatened, they will emit a deafening roar that can be heard from miles away and might even conjure flames to spew from their mouth. While these flames are initially only used to burn and scare away the threat, a Dragon will eventually attack the person or creature threatening them. Even though these fire-breathing creatures are dangerous, they can be tamed if one knows the correct way to do so. The process of taming a Dragon can be tedious and has to be done in a delicate way. An individual first must walk up to this creature and bow to show that they mean no harm. Afterwards, they will be allowed to approach and begin to bond with the Dragon. Grooming is an activity that will greatly increase and strengthen this bond. However, different parts of this creature are a lot more sensitive than others and therefore must be groomed more delicately. Once a Dragon has successfully been tamed, they will eventually let the individual who earned their trust pet them and possibly even ride them in rare instances.&nbsp;

Habitat
It is unknown where specifically Dragons are native from. However, they are currently found wandering around and living among the abandoned research facilities in Greenshore Harbour. At some point, many Dragons were captured, tortured and experimented on by numerous researchers. While they were kept in the research facilities located in Greenshore Harbour and off the coast of Gnollberg Port, these creatures were able to break free and ended up destroying the local buildings and houses. Because of this event, many of the Dragons can still be found on the grounds of these abandoned facilities. Additionally, Puffing Pod Lvl. 70 plant nodes can be found scattered within and around the buildings where these creatures reside.

Defeat
As a Level 78 mob, Dragons have the chance of dropping Level 71-80 Broomsbroom materials as well as exclusive mob drops. These drops include&nbsp;Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles&nbsp;as well as Dragon Scale, Dragon Dung, and Dragon Heart. Additionally, like most other types of Lvl 71-80 mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Broom Recipes. Materials such as Footholds, Handle, Handlewraps, and Bristles can play a part in crafting such recipes into brooms. While their exclusive mob drops are not required in any quests, they can be used in the crafting of Professionsprofession items such as the Puffing Pod Fudge VIII, Jester's Stew VIII, Jester's Tea VIII, Transformation Tonic VIII, Puffing Pod, Fudge IX, Jester's Stew IX, Jester's Tea IX, Transformation Tonic IX.
Overview
Dementares are Level 80, aggressive Mobsmobs on Potterworld. They are some of the most terror-inducing creatures known to the wizarding world. While there are several other daunting beasts among the magical animal kingdom, it is no competition: Dementares are the worst of them all. They have a humanoid shape, float at ten feet tall, and cover their bodies in long black cloaks. Their skin beneath is grey, withered and decayed. Their faces are nightmare-inducing, with no features&nbsp; and only holes for their eyes and mouth. Regardless of their blindness, they can sense human presence and emotions.

They move around by means of free-flying and hovering, although the full range of distance they are able to go above the ground is untested due to the inherent unpredictability and danger of being near Dementares. They have cold auras that freeze water, and anyone who spends too much time around them develops a chill or, in extreme cases, pneumonia. Players can expect to run into them only after graduating during the Questsquests The Dementare's KissThe Dementare’s Kiss and Relics of the Past - Part IVRelics of the Past Part IV.

Behaviour and Defence
The Ministry of Magicians has long been allied with the Dementares, using them as a sort of guard system at&nbsp; The Dark Prison, where they keep their most dangerous criminals and convicts. Some oppose this decision, as the Dementares are not exactly ethical overlords, using the prisoners as food as they suck out their emotions and fear. However, others consider it the just outcome for the villains kept in the prison. Ultimately, most of the inmates are driven insane after enough time spent with the Dementares.

One of the only ways to fight them is by using the Animus Exto Spells Listspell, which is notoriously difficult to learn and cast. It can be earned through the Guardian Challenge in the Headmaster's Office of Hogsworth. The user must channel all of their positive energy and memories into the spell which can be difficult. Most experienced wizards are advised to think of a happy memory in order to successfully cast the spell. Once it is successfully cast, a bright white force of energy and positive emotions bursts from the wand taking the form of an animal unique to the caster. The animal is thought to be the heart and soul of the caster, and when directed at a Dementare, they will hiss and flee as if burned. However, because of the difficulty and complication involved with casting it, most less competent wizards find it nearly impossible to fight off a Dementare alone.

If you find yourself facing a Dementare alone without the benefit of experience with the Animus Exto spell, there are a few basic facts about their skill sets you need to know. Dementares have 5560 HP to work with, so it is incredibly difficult to defeat them by using raw magic power alone. On contact, they deal 1112 damage. On top of that, they have special abilities that charge up when they are attacking their victims, dealing 1600 damage, second only to their swipe, which deals 1668 damage. If any student below graduate level should run into these soul-suckers, they ought to say their prayers and start sprinting the other direction because graduates are the only players equipped with the skills needed to defeat the Dementares.

Habitat
The exact origin of Dementares is unknown. When the original owner of The Dark Prison, a long-dead, evil man, passed, and the island was finally revealed to the Ministry of Magicians, the very first investigations revealed the presence of the Dementares. Some believe they are the remainders of the island’s dark past, victims of the previous owners’ sadism, and others believe they have always been there. In either case, there is no record of them before the discovery of The Dark Prison. There is no form of vegetation or life that appears naturally on the stormy island, and so the Dementares remain there, feeding on the prisoners of the Ministry.

Defeat
Upon defeat, Dementares have a chance of dropping Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and&nbsp;Straw Bristles, as well as&nbsp;Dementare Bones, Dementare Nails, and Dementare Bogies. These ingredients can be used in Professionsprofessions items like the Dark Cocoacursed Delights VIII, Charming Fizz Tea VIII, Hijinx Mixture VIII, Cursed Brew VIII, Dark Cocoacursed Delights IX, Charming Fizz Tea IX, Hijinx Mixture IX, and Cursed Brew IX, and crafting Broomsbrooms. Dementares also have a small chance of dropping random Broom Recipes.

Wands and Casting Magic
Wands are the main source of casting spells on the Potterworld server. Every player receives their own wand when joining the server for the first time. Spells can be obtained or purchased through the store, different events, and levelling up. The wand helps you keep track of every spell earned and is the focal point to when you cast one of your spells.

Wand Basics
A spell is always equipped to the wand and therefore is able to be cast by just left-clicking while holding the wand. There are numerous spells that a can be obtained and chosen from. To view the different spells available, you simply have to right-click the wand while it is in your hand to open the wand menu; to close the menu and return to your regular inventory, right-click again.

Spell Points
You can earn Spell Points by attending classes, completing daily activities, and completing quests. These Spell Points can be used to purchase spells in your spellbook. To access the spellbook, use the <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/spellbook</span> command. At any given time, you can only purchase the spells in your year. For example, first-year students can only purchase first-year spells. To purchase spells of the next year, you must complete your end-of-year exam as a part of your levelling experience. You start it by clicking the number in <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/spellbook</span> after obtaining all spells for your current year.

Wand Lore
Each wand has a unique wood and core that it is created from. You are able to view your own type of wand by hovering over it. When hovering, you are also able to see the spell currently equipped, your current year, the number of known spells, the amount of magic you have, as well as the magic regeneration. To select a wand wood and core, players must hold their wand and use the <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/wandlore</span> command. Changing it once more requires a Wand Lore Token.
Sucupira
Due to sucupira being a durable wood, those who get this wood find themselves able to withstand most things thrown at them. It is believed that the wizard will live longer than most if they get this wood.
Sycamore
Those with a curious spirit and a penchant for adventure will find great power in wands made of sycamore.
Tineo
Commonly found in Chile and Argentina, tineo is favoured for its unique colours. Any wizard who uses a wand of tineo tends to be outgoing and flamboyant.
Vine
Wands of vine wood seek out sociable casters and natural leaders. They're said to wilt and rot in the hands of lonely folk.
Wand Core Lore
Core Type
Description
Bear Fur
As bears normally have a shy nature, those who get a bear fur core might find themselves avoiding contact with fellow humans and prefer to do things alone.
Bone
This sinister wand core prefers wizards who have an interest in dark magic and the unknown. Those who come to possess a wand with this core have an endless curiosity that cannot be satiated.
Butterfly Essence
Those who have a butterfly essence core may find themselves to be very paranoid when it comes to certain situations. Wizards with this core also love change.
Coral
This vibrant, rock-like wand core is known to bring out the brightest colours within its owner. Coral cores are exceptionally helpful when it comes to taking care of magical creatures.
Cupid's Arrow
N/A
Dittany Stalk
Dittany stalk seeks protective owners who avoid self-deception and is perfect for those who strive to help others.
Dragon Heartstring
Similar to the creature itself, this wand core is known to be quite temperamental. It's the perfect core for those who want to pursue both transfiguration and curses.
Dragonfly Wing
Because of a dragonfly's territorial nature, many who have a dragonfly core may find themselves very protective of both friends and family. These wizards rarely find themselves leaning towards dark magic.
Enchantens Hair
Enchantens hair is often used in the wands of witches and wizards who appear to have two sides to them. Wands with this core are exceptionally adept at casting charms.
Horned Serpent Horn
This core is perfect for those who are sneaky, yet hold a powerful strike just like the Horned Serpent does.
Icicle
Forged using magic, those with cores made of icicles tend to be closely bonded with the wizard who forged their core. Their magic is often linked, making this an unlikely option for most wizards. The strengths and weaknesses of one tend to be the strengths and weaknesses of the other.
Kelpie Mane
Kelpie Mane is the perfect core for those who are precise and frequently at sea!
Kneaper Whisker
Though Kneapers are domesticated creatures that are often kept as pets, their whiskers are still used in many wand cores! They are adept at casting transfiguration, specifically conjuration, spells.
Pegasus Wing Feather
This hard-to-get core is not used in the average wizard's wand. Those with a Pegasus wing feather as a core often go on to do great things later on in life, and the strong magic that is produced aids in this.
Phoenix Feather
A Phoenix feather core can be challenging to bond with, as it requires someone who is decisive and strong-minded. With the right owner, it can take on any type of magic and shows excellence in defensive magic, especially healing spells.
Pixie Dust
Wizards who find themselves holding wands with pixie dust cores are said to be exceptional at charms magic, and often have a flair for dramatic cosmetic spells too! They're said to wield their wands beautifully, almost as a natural extension of their own arm.
Rose Petal
N/A
Rougarou Hair
Due to the Rougarou's violent nature, its hair is perfect for performing spells associated with the dark arts.
Seahorse Scale
This core is perfect for wizards who have an out-of-this-world ambition! Often packed densely into the core of the wand, stardust produces extremely potent magic. Wizards who have a stardust core excel at divination!
Spider Web
This spooky wand core is most powerful around Halloween but accentuates magic year-round.
Stardust
This core is perfect for wizards who have an out-of-this-world ambition! Often packed densely into the core of the wand, stardust produces extremely potent magic. Wizards who have a stardust core excel at divination!
Thunderbird Feather
Wands with Thunderbird feather cores are prone to cracking and instability. However, those who can overcome these weaknesses wield wands known for their powerful and flashy magic.
Troll Whisker
Cores made of troll hair are quite uncommon as a precise level of mastery of magic is needed in order for them to perform at their fullest.
Unicorn Tail Hair
Unicorn tail hair is the purest of the wand cores. It holds immense power for the fair of heart but can bestow misfortune upon those who use it with ill intent.
White River Monster Spine
The spine of the White River Monster is best for those who surround themselves with darkness.

Selecting & Casting Spells
Casting a spell is very simple and only requires you to left-click with the wand in the direction you want the spell to go. Some spells will be cast on yourself while others could be cast on or against different players.

When you open the wand menu by right-clicking, you will see a list of different spells in your hotbar. Any of these spells can be equipped by using the number keys or scrolling with a mouse (this works exactly the same as how you would change to a different item or tool in your hotbar when playing Minecraft). However, when you select the spell you want to use, it will quickly highlight the option and then return to the wand. The spell you chose will now be the one equipped and ready to be cast.

If you are unsure of what a spell does, you simply have to hover over it while the wand menu is open to view the description. To see a list of the different spells and which levels they are obtained at, you can check out the Spells List page. You can also do <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/spellslist</span> or <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/spellList</span> while in-game on Potterworld to see a full list of every spell and their descriptions. Spells abilities can be increased using Talents.

Wand Hotbars
Wand hotbars refer to the spell hotbars that appear when right-clicking a wand. The wand hotbars are extremely useful to have while in combat or for general exploration around the server. This allows you to prepare the spells you most commonly use or feel will be the most helpful during an adventure.

The wand has two different hotbars of spells that you can choose from and easily swap to. To view the secondary hotbar you just have to open the wand hotbar (right-click while holding the wand) and press your drop key, which is the "q" key by default; this will quickly change the hotbar to a new selection of spells to choose from and edit. Another way to switch to the secondary hotbar is by left-clicking on your wand when the wand menu and spell inventory are open.

Spell Inventory
You obtain many spells through your time on the server and when you level up. Each wand hotbar is only able to hold 8 spells at a time (16 in total). To choose and change out the spells, you can right-click your wand and open up your inventory; you will then be able to see and find every other spell learned so far in your spell inventory. When an inventory page completely fills up with spells, a new page will be accessible. To view/change to another page, you can click on either side of your inventory or an empty space in your wand inventory.

You are able to edit your spell hotbars or organise your inventory spell pages depending on the most common spells that you use. To change out spells you can click on the spell you wish to remove from the hotbar and drag it to an open space in your spell inventory. Once you have removed a spell from the hotbar, you can click on another spell that you wish to have easy access to and drag it to the open space in the hotbar. As long as there is an open space available in your hotbars, then you can continue dragging in spells until all spots are filled up.

Wand Modifications
Different modifications and upgrades exist on the server to best fit your casting preferences. These can be accessed and equipped by running the command<span style="color: #ccffcc;"> /wands</span> while holding your wand and clicking on the “Wand Modifications" tab. You will then see a list of different preferences and modifications you are able to choose from. An NPC is also located in Diagonal Lane that allows you to choose from these same options.

Quick Casting is the ability to immediately cast a spell when choosing it in your spell hotbar (either scrolling to it or using the numbers on a keyboard). There are a few different modification options that you can choose for Quick Casting: Default, All Spells, and No Spells. The Default option sets Quick Casting only for certain spells while the All spells option sets it for every spell and No Spells removes Quick Casting alltogether.

Practising Magic
There are multiple ways that you can practise magic and aim with your spells. Duelling Halls are a popular and easily accessible location where you are able to practise shooting spells against another player. You are able to teleport to them using the NPCs labelled "Duelling Halls" located across the world map.

Another place you are able to practise is at housing plots. However, depending on the plot, some spells might be disabled and are not able to be cast. To enable magic on a plot, run the command <span style="color: #ccffcc;"> /house magic on</span>. You can also type <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/house damage on</span> and/or <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/house pvp on</span> to enable damage and PvP with other players.

Each spell has a specific amount of “magic” that it uses when cast. However, you are limited to 100 magic, which regenerates at 20 magic per second. If you run out of magic while casting and it has not regenerated enough by the time another spell is cast, you will be unable to use the spell. Your experience bar (line located above the hotbar) will help you keep track of the amount of magic you have left to use. If the bar runs out or is getting low then you will know you are close to running out of “magic” and should be careful.

Wand Cosmetics
There are many different options that you can purchase or obtain that will change the appearance, name, or particles of a wand. These cosmetics allow for you to make your wand even more unique and customisable.

Wand Appearances
Everyone has the same wand appearance when first receiving their wand, but you can purchase or obtain different appearances that will change the overall look of the wand. These new appearances can be purchased directly from the Potterworld store (located under the tab “Wand Upgrades”) or bought as a reward from different events.

Once you have obtained a wand appearance you can equip it by using the command <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/wands</span> while holding your wand and clicking on the “Wand Appearance” tab. If you have multiple different appearances then you can choose which one you would like to use after running that command.

*Warning: you will not be able to return to the default wand appearance once you have changed it for the first time.

Wand Effects
When a spell is cast there are oftentimes coloured particles that surround you. However, a different colour of particles can be purchased directly from the Potterworld store (located under the tab “Wand Upgrades”). There are many varieties and options to choose from that will change the particle colour of certain spells as well as surround you if you are holding your wand.

You will also receive coloured wand effects for certain allegiance/club packages. These colours can also be purchased separately without having to buy the whole package. If you are interested in only purchasing the allegiance/club wand effect, you can click the “Allegiance Wand Enhancement” tab under “Allegiances / Clubs”. Buying this option will also let you gain access to allegiance wand names and a new spell.

In order to equip or change the particle colour you can use the command <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/wands</span> while holding your wand and clicking on the “Wand Effects” tab.

Wand Names
You can also choose to rename your wand to make it more unique to yourself. To purchase a Wand Rename you can go to the Potterworld store and select the “Other” option under “Wand Upgrades”. After you purchase the Wand Rename, wait for the confirmation that it went through in-game then use the command <span style="color: #ccffcc;">/wandrename</span>. Using the wand rename system you can put a new name through.

When thinking of a name for your wand, make sure to come up with an appropriate name. Wand names can include symbols and colours. If you do not like the name anymore or want to change it you will have to purchase a new Wand Rename (even if just removing/adding a couple of letters). Similar to above, specific wand names also come with certain allegiance/club packages. The names can be purchased separately without having to buy the whole package. If you are interested in only purchasing the allegiance/club wand name, you can click the “Allegiance Wand Enhancement” tab under “Allegiances / Clubs”. Buying this option will also let you gain access to the wand effect and a new spell.

To change the wand name to an allegiance name option you can use the command<span style="color: #ccffcc;"> /wands</span> while holding your wand and choosing the name under the “Wand Names” tab.

Tips
* If you find that your wand has disappeared and you cannot find it in your inventory try switching worlds. If that does not work then create a ticket (<span style="color: #ccffcc;">/t create</span>) and let a staff member know your wand has disappeared.

* It is extremely helpful to organise your spell inventory by type or most used as you may have to quickly switch up spells for certain quests or different activities.

Beaches
There are 3 main beaches, and an upgrade of the Shovel is required to unlock new ones. Beach 1 does not require an upgrade, Beach 2 requires a Tier 2 Shovel and Beach 3 requires a Tier 3 Shovel. Dimitris is also at Beach 2 and Beach 3 for the player's convenience.

Upgrades
There are three upgrades you can buy, two mandatory for progress and one optional.

Tier 2 Shovel
The Tier 2 Shovel requires 200 Snowflakes and 250 spots dug. This lets you dig up 9 paydirt per digging spot. This upgrade also allows you to dig at Beach 2.

Tier 3 Shovel
The Tier 3 Shovel requires 350 Snowflakes, 500 spots dug and the Tier 2 Shovel unlocked. This lets you dig up 15 paydirt per digging spot. This upgrade also allows you to dig at Beach 3.

Magic Bucket
The Magic Bucket upgrade allows you to wash your bucket anywhere while having the chance at receiving any of the 37 artefacts. This is helpful if you want to collect more Snowflakes. However, it reduces your chances of finding the artefacts you might be looking for since you can obtain any artefact at any beach with this upgrade. You must have dug 650 spots, have 500 Snowflakes, and unlocked the Tier 3 Shovel upgrade to unlock the Magic Bucket.
Archaeology
This year, a new type of activity was released. This activity is called 'Archaeology', which consists of digging for artefacts. The activity can be done any time while at Magifaisteio with no cooldown.

How to start
To start Archaeology, students must talk to Dimitris Raptis, found within the cave at [-1872 38 -1923]. After speaking to Dimitris Raptis in the cave, head down to the beach by the Kelpie Dock and talk to him again [-1752 24 -1756]. He will then give you 1 Shovel, 1 Paydirt Bucket and 1 Archaeological Log Book.

Participating in the activity
The main activity is simple;
* Go to a beach (see below for different locations).
* Dig at different spots until the bucket is full.
* Sneak + Right-click within the allocated wash area (see below for different locations).
