Wildsam: Updated info about scribes

Community Management Team
The goal of the Community Management department is to create a better experience for the player base, whether this is through moderating the server, monitoring the Wikipedia for the players to use, or hosting community Expeditions.

Sub-Departments
Curators
The Curator sub-department is in charge of creating and hosting live Expedition events as well as engaging with the community. The Curators design and implement gameplay that is aimed to bring the community and staff team together.

Moderation
The Moderation TeamModeration sub-department is in charge of keeping the server’s platforms appropriate for all players, whether this be on the Discord ServerDiscord, forums, or in-game. The roles within Moderation are Jr. Prefects, Prefects, Sr. Prefects (in-game moderators), Discord Moderators, and the Wizencouncil team (forum moderators). The in-game moderators assist with taking care of players who disobey the rules and answer tickets that come in every day. Discord Moderators help to keep the Potterworld Discord safe and family-friendly. The Wizencouncil team moderates the forums and assist in dealing with the website support tickets.

Management
Like most departments, Community Management has a leadership team that runs the sub-departments within. In Community Management, the leadership team consists of the sub-department leads, the Assistant to Head of Community Management, and the Head of Community Management.

Assistant to Head of Community Management
The Assistant to Head of Community Management assists the Head of Community Management with leading and managing the entire department and all sub-teams and their members. They also help oversee the management of the Leads and provide assistance when needed.

Head of Community Management
The Head of Community Management is the leader of the department. This Head Staff position serves to aid and look over the Leads of the department and also head in the runnings of the department along with managing everyone within.

Wildsam: Updated CM's mission regarding the wiki

Overview
The PotterworldMC staff and team members contribute extensive hours each week to work to create new content, engage with players, and improve the overall player experience. There are six different departments within the team that focus on different aspects of the server. If a player ever has questions or needs help, staff are always around to help.

Applications for different ranks open when staff/team members are needed for a specific role. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to apply to a position if they are interested in it. However, there are a few specific requirements a player must meet before applying or being considered for a role. Each rank has a different set of requirements that can be found within the application itself. You can check which applications are currently open by going to the Potterworld website and hovering over the “Applications” tab.

Events

Wildsam: Added a table for the events that happened so far in 2025

Overview
Events are special occasions on the server where new gameplay is temporarily added for players to enjoy. During each event, there are a variety of things that players can participate in. This includes quests, side-quests, and activities. Players are also often able to purchase rewards with Event Tokens. At the event build, there is an informative General NPCsNPC, usually named Kevin, who provides players with details about the event.

Currently, the Game DesignGame Designer team is responsible for creating all the events that are held on the server. Prior to the Game Designer team's formation, events were made by Magiventologists. This team was created in July 2020 and had been in charge of the events up until mid-2022. However, events themselves have been a long-running tradition since the server’s creation in 2014 and over 60 unique events have been held. Usually, events centre around time periods and holidays, such as Winter, Valentine’s, and Halloween. There are also events revolving around in-game holidays, such as the Butterbrew Festival and the Anniversary events.

Content
Quests
Quests are tasks given out to players, with most event quests following the overarching event storyline. These event quests are different from normal world Questsquests, as event quests expire after the event's end.

Side Quests
Side-quests are quests given outside of the main storyline and are often repeatable every 12 hours for Event Tokens.

Activities
Activities are various non-quest actions that players can complete. This can encompass a variety of things, such as games, collecting nodes, parkours, and mazes.

Collectables & Rewards
Players can receive or purchase a multitude of different items during events. While not every item is offered during every event, collectables, banners, and heads are typically included. Occasionally other rewards such as wand appearances, hats, pets, and emotes can be purchased. These are usually not available from the online store, so they can only be obtained from the event. Every event from 2023 and onwards players with a collectable token, which was sold for only a small amount of Event Tokens. This token was coloured in a colour relevant to the theme of the event and all tokens can be stored throughout the year in the Event Token Pouch, as a display of the events a player has attended.

Wildsam: Added Faeries to Allegiances & Clubs channel list

Overview
The PotterworldMC Discord server is a place where students and staff can communicate with each other. The Discord is also utilised as a way to send out announcements, class updates, and much more. Players can see theHouse Points & House Cup House points being rewarded for their respective houses on the Discord server. Similar to in-game rules, the Discord also has rules for players to follow, which can be viewed here.

Linking
In order for someone to link their Discord account to the PotterworldMC Discord, the player must do /discord in-game. A link will appear in chat for the player to click. Once that is done, the player will be redirected to the Discord server to join. Linking an account to the Discord server will allow the player to gain their roles and see all of the channels.

Text Channels
As mentioned previously, students and staff can use the Discord server to communicate with one another. There are a variety of channels that can be used, but please keep in mind that each has a specific use to them. Below are the different channels that can be found on the Discord server.

In order to get a notification role, players must locate the #notification-roles channel on the Discord server. From there, the player would click the buttons that correspond with the roles they would like to receive notifications for.

In addition, there are other roles like a house, allegiance, club, and the Student role. Upon linking an account to the Discord Server, the player would receive roles that correspond to what they have in-game. Additionally, the Student role is automatically given once the player is linked.

Overview
The Dueling Halls can be accessed throughout the world with the Dueling Halls General NPCsNPC, a white-haired witch with purple robes and a crown upon her head. Here, players can duel one another in PvP arenas. When entering the halls, immediately to the left is a room that contains the Arena TokensArena Token Shop and to the right is a room detailing information about the different types of Challenges and Tournaments. Further in the halls, there are Arena TeamArena Selector NPCs near the fountains. These NPCs allow players to navigate to all of the different arenas available and test out different Talentstalents. Throughout, there are also leaderboards showcasing the top players for the current Arena season. Nearby the leaderboards, there are NPCs of the latest Arena MVPs. Inside each Arena, the Leave NPCs allow players to change their talents, heal themselves, or pick a different arena to duel in.

Leaderboards
On the ground floor, players can see their own Challenge Statistics. Both their Dueling and Flying statistics are available, along with their overall current Arena Score. Near these Leaderboards, both the most recent Dueling and most recent Flying MVPs are present as NPCs. Upstairs, against the south wall, is the Arena Score Leaderboard. This leaderboard is a list of the top 10 scorers for the current season. Players can view who is in the lead overall, for Flying, or for Dueling. Nearby this leaderboard is an NPC of last season’s overall MVP. On the golden podiums, players can view the most recent Flying and Dueling tournament winners. Additionally, by inspecting the encased trophy, players can view past tournament winners and previous MVPs.

Arena Selector
The Arena Selector allows players to choose to duel in a variety of arenas. When hovering over each arena’s icon, players can see how many other players are already dueling there. In the Arena Selector, players can also change and try out their talents to find the best fit for them.

Arena Halls
The Arena Halls arena is the only arena visible from the main lobby of the Dueling Halls. Past the fountain, this rectangular arena is open and has a large viewing area. The floor is made up of a pattern of dark oak and spruce wood, along with some glowstone and a purple wool outline. It is the most commonly used arena.

Battle of Hogsworth
Greek Gods
Lion's Den
Submerged Oasis
The Submerged Oasis arena is an arena set below the depths of the ocean. In the dried area of the arena, trees have begun growing and a sunken ship can be found.

Coliseum Arena
The Coliseum Arena is set inside a large coliseum made of stone. Inside the arena, four statues representing each Hogsworth house can be found.

Training Room
The Training Room can be used to test out different spells and train. Players can cast on dummies to see how much damage each of their spells does or try to hit moving dummies. Furthermore, players can cast spells on each other to see the damage dealt to other players. In the Target Room, players can use the Training Wand to summon targets to practise their aiming. Finally, players can practice duels with student non-playable characters, ranging from Year 2 to Graduate difficulty.

Ministry
The Ministry arena is set deep inside the Ministry of Magicians. Spanning across multiple floors, players must navigate endless hallways in order to duel.

Galaxy
Seasonal Arenas
There are also seasonal arenas that correspond with specific events throughout the year. So far, these include: Snowy Showdown, Spleef, and Space Hangar.

Arena Token Shop
In the shop, Arena Exclusives can also be found. These give the player special rewards when their Arena Score for that season reaches a certain number. A full list of what can be purchased at the Arena Tokens Shop is available on the Challenges and Tournaments page.
