Overview
Basically Beheaded Benjamin is the Griffin House’s resident ghost. Often found loitering outside the Griffin Common Room's entrance in Hogsworth, Benjamin is a familiar sight to Griffin students. He loves to strike up conversations with any passerby and is a great levelheaded listener.
Born to an English Unmagical couple in 1412, Benjamin’s magical capabilities were never strong enough for him to pursue further practise. He instead followed in his Unmagical father’s footsteps by taking up a career in finance. Like magic, he met the requirements of the position, but he did not go above and beyond.
When a civil war broke out in 1455, the 43-year-old Benjamin saw the war as an opportunity to pursue some action and adventure he craved. To escape from his mundane life, he pledged himself to one side of the civil war and went off to fight without hesitation. However, growing up as a privileged nobleman, he lacked fighting experience. Due to this, he promptly lost his life, and, almost his head, within the first hour of battle.
As a ghost, Benjamin wandered around the battlefield aimlessly for a few centuries. After a few centuries, he found himself summoned to Hogsworth by a few students. Soon enough, he found himself enjoying the school’s atmosphere and warming up to the students.
Nowadays, Benjamin is one of the friendliest ghosts in the castle. Players meet him during the House of the Brave quest, where he enlists help finding where the Fat Lady had taken off to.
