Community Engagements

Overview

Community Engagement events, or CEs, were small-scale events that focused on connecting with the Potterworld community through fun activities. They were primarily held at the end of the month and hosted multiple times during the week. The Community Engagements for the month would have the same theme and activities, allowing for players to have multiple opportunities to attend. A couple of examples of the themes from previous Community Engagements include Magical Zoo, Butterbrew, Music Festival, Camping, and Anniversary.

Community Engagements were created and hosted by the Inquisitor team. The Inquisitors helped design multiple activities for players to partake in during these events. Some examples of such activities included photo booths, competitions, minigames, and purchasing collectables. 

For players to connect during these occasions, there was a Community Engagement voice call on the PotterworldMC Discord and an in-game chat for players to chat in. Community Engagements were held on class servers, and, therefore, players joined a queue to join the event.

Due to the Game Design Restructure, the last event was hosted in July 2022.
