Potterworld’s 9th Anniversary

Overview

Potterworld’s 9th Anniversary event took place between May 19th and June 10th, 2023. This mini-event was to celebrate the nine years of magic and community that the server has had.

Storyline

This event had no storyline, as its primary focus was celebrating the server’s anniversary.

Location

The entire Great Hall Courtyard was decked out with purple banners and streamers, with hot air balloons floating in the air. In the centre of the Great Hall Courtyard, a large purple cake with white icing filled the area and was adorned with purple balloons. Surrounding the large cake were tables filled with food, prepared for a fantastic feast. Both the Droobledore NPC and the Rewards NPC could be found near the cake.

Activities

24 Hours of Classes

The Academics team hosted 23 various classes and one tournament in celebration of Potterworld’s 9th Anniversary. There was a special collectable, the Everlasting Quill, that students could enter to win in the Magical Event class hosted.

There were no contests held alongside this event.

Rewards & Collectables

There were several different rewards and collectables players could obtain during this event, including a special book received from a Droobledore NPC. Instead of using Event Tokens, rewards from this event could be purchased with Gold.

Store Releases

For the event, the Store team held the Anniversary Sale, which lasted from May 18th through May 22nd, and gave up to 50% off on store items.

This event also marked the release of Wand Lore tokens. These tokens allow players to change their wand wood type and wand core, with a multitude of unique options. Each wood type and wand core has a brief description so players can find which ones fit them best.
