Carnival Event 2017

Overview

The Carnival was an event hosted by Potterworld and began on the 18th of August 2017. The event featured carnival-themed gameplay content that featured quests and minigames. Exclusive rewards were available to be purchased during this event.

Storyline

There was not a specific storyline that this event followed.

Location

The event was located in the Transfiguration Courtyard of Hogsworth. It was accessed through first completing the starting quest ‘Carnival Rumour’. The event location could then be visited by talking to the Shawn NPC located outside a small tent in the Transfiguration Courtyard. Players would then get teleported to the main event location. The Carnival took place in a large red and white carnival tent that featured multiple stalls and a carousel at its centre.

Quests

There were many quests available to players at this event, centred around a fairy wing questline.

Carnival Rumour

‘Carnival Rumour’ was the starting quest for the event. The quest was accessed by first talking to the Danielle NPC located in the courtyard outside of the Great Hall. Danielle instructed players to find her brother Malec to learn more about the carnival visiting Hogsworth. Danielle mentioned that Malec could be found in the Serpent Common Room. After locating the Malec NPC in the Serpent Common Room, players were told to visit the event in the Transfiguration Courtyard and to speak to Shawn. Upon speaking to the Shawn NPC, the quest was completed and players were teleported to the main event location.

The Search for Estelle

Players began this quest by talking to the Comelia NPC located in the carnival tent. Comelia told the player that her friend, Estelle, had wandered off in search of something and requested the player’s help to find her. The player is instructed to search the Hogsworth Library for Estelle. Players then had to locate the Estelle NPC in the library, completing the quest.

Book of Fairies

Estelle requested the player’s help in finding the ‘The Book of Fairies’ which was located somewhere in the Hogsworth Library. After locating the book in a section of the library, the player would obtain the book and then bring it back to Estelle so she could read it.

Fairy Mother

Estelle instructed the player to find the Fairy Mother who was located near the Hogsworth Greenhouses. The quest was completed when players found the Fairy Mother NPC who was located in the corner of a greenhouse.

Fairy Mother’s Task

The Fairy Mother requested the help of the player to retrieve stolen fairy wings which had been stolen by wizards. Players had to obtain four Fairy Wings. These could be acquired through defeating either Auralocks, Dark Followers or Phoenix Members. After obtaining the fairy wings, players had to return them to the Fairy Mother NPC.

Returning Fairy Wings

The Fairy Mother instructed players to return to Comelia at the carnival and to give her two Fairy Wings, which were given to the players by the Fairy Mother. The quest was completed when the player talked to the Comelia NPC and gave her the fairy wings.

Feeding the Magical Creatures

Players had to feed the magical creatures which were located around the inside of the carnival tent. To do this, players had to buy ‘Magical Creature Seeds’ from the Emily NPC. The quest was completed when the player had successfully fed 10 magical creatures.
