Potterwatch's 5th Anniversary 2020

Overview

January 10, 2020 marked the 5th anniversary of Potterworld’s Youtube channel and this event was released to celebrate the occasion. Potterwatch’s 5th Anniversary event lasted from January 4, 2020 until January 27th, 2020.

Storyline

To celebrate Potterwatch’s 5th Anniversary, Hogsworth students were able to access and explore the Potterwatch Studios. Students could complete challenges in Studios #2 - #6, with each studio encompassing a different aspect of Potterwatch.

Location

Players could talk to the Director Kevin NPC to get teleported into the event. When teleported, players were taken to the Potterwatch Studios, which were decorated in anticipation of the celebration. In the middle of the Studios, a large white and blue cake has been placed.

Various members of Potterwatch could be found throughout the event, mainly in Studio #1, giving information about Potterwatch. There was also a room where NPCs of past Directors could be found.

There were no main storyline quests for this event.

There were no side quests for this event.

Activities

These activities could be found in different studios throughout the event. Each could only be done once and after they were all completed, the player could obtain the Director’s Scarf.

Script Writing Challenge

Found in Studio #2, the player had to help the Potterwatch team write a script for a new video. The video was about Potterwatch and the information needed to be fact-checked. To do so, the player had to complete a 10-question quiz, whose answers can be found below.

Maze Challenge

The maze could be found in Studio #3 and players needed to find 5 props throughout the maze. It was a multi-level maze, with two props found upstairs and three found on the ground floor.

Recording Challenge

Found in Studio #4, a Director asked the player to help record a video on a time-crunch. The player had to then go to the camera and complete a sequence to record the video.

Editing Challenge

This challenge could be started in Studio #5 and the player needed to go around the studios to collect clips for the video.

Parkour Challenge

Found in Studio #6, the player had to complete parkour in order to share the video. The parkour was in a small area with bookshelves and the players had to jump from book to book to finish.
