Overview

This event was released on March 11, 2018 and lasted until March 25, 2018 to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The event introduced players to the newly-built Ireland and allowed them to explore the island while doing quests to help the Irish Quabbleball team. Players received a coin that showed them which members of the team they had to help and where to go to help them. Rewards and collectables could also be purchased in Ireland during the event.

Storyline

The Irish Quabbleball team needed the players’ help with a curse placed on them by evil Leprechauns. If all of their problems did not get solved before the big game, they would not be able to play. Players had to go to the Hogsworth Hospital Wing in order to start the quests for the event.

Location

Players could talk to the “Quick Travel” NPC outside of the Great Hall in order to go to Ireland for the event. This marked the first time that the Ireland build was open to the public, and it would stay open after the event had concluded.

Quests

The Start of Something Big

St. Merlin’s had asked the Hogsworth matron Madam Lillian for student volunteers to help around the hospital, as they were short staffed and overwhelmed. The star Passer from the Irish National Quabbleball Team had just been admitted to the hospital, but no one could figure out what was wrong.

Once at St. Merlin’s in London, players had to find the welcoming wizard, Henry, and talk to him. Henry told the player that nurse Lucien needed some help with his patients on the floor for magical accidents. Lucien then revealed to the player that the Passer from the Irish National Quabbleball team had broken a few bones and was in too much pain to speak. The player then had to get pain medicine in the supply closet and give it to the Passer. Once the Passer, Conor Murphy, got the medicine, he was once again able to speak. He revealed that weird things had been happening in Ireland, such as random accidents and missing equipment. He revealed to the player that he was attacked by a cursed Bludgeon Ball and asked them to go to Ireland to figure out what was wrong.

Enemy Lines

Quinn suspected that the other team had stolen some very important documents from him for the upcoming Quabbleball game. He asked the player to help recover the documents.

Bruiser in a Bind

Players had to find the Bruiser, Liam’s, bat that he left at the market.

Victory Voodoo

Robby’s broom had been acting up and the player had to help find the source of the voodoo that was making his broom go haywire.

Sneak Sabotage

Ria needed help organising the big Quabbleball game, but the Leprechauns kept trying to ruin it. The player needed to prevent the Leprechauns from ruining it and help in making the Quabbleball game be a success.

A Nice Warm Mug

Cormac knew how down the whole team was feeling, so he wanted to brew some butterbrew for the entire team to enjoy. The player needed to gather ingredients such as sugar, water, and a bar of butterscotch for the butterbrew. The sugar was obtained from Sugar Fairies found in the forest around the village, the bar of butterscotch was able to be picked up in Honeysweets, and water could be obtained from the pub. The player could then cook the butterbrew and had to give it to Veronica and Sawyer. After doing so, the player could return to Cormac to finish the quest.

Sock Struggles

Joey lost his lucky sock and needed the player’s help finding it before the game the next day. He suggested that the player talk to Richard to see if he knew where the sock was. Richard knew where it was, but he wanted the player to buy him a new jacket from Isabella’s General Store. When the player returned the jacket to Richard, he revealed that a bunch of little green things ran out of Joey’s house the previous night and suggested talking to Matilda about it. She told the player that the Leprechauns had stolen it and tasked them with crafting a sword to fight the creatures. The player was able to find the sock on the other side of the hill and could then return the sock to Joey.

A Dyer Situation

Aoife, one of the team’s Bruisers, messed up the Irish flag when attempting to help decorate her local area for the game. She asked the player for help in fixing the flag and getting it hung up. The player needed to collect Fuath Tears, Far Darrig Caps, and Cu-Sith Fur from killing mobs to make fabric dyes.

Keeper Kerfuffle

The Keeper of Ireland’s team, Ginevra, had lost all of her protective padding and was unable to practice for the big game. She needed the player’s help with borrowing some equipment so that she would be able to practice on time. At the pub, Alec had some equipment at his house that he offered to have one of the servers go get. To do so, the player had to fill in for the server and complete customers’ orders. After completing the orders, Alec gave the player the equipment which they could then take back to Ginevra.
