Chill Halloween CE, October 2021

Overview

This Halloween-themed Community Engagement spanned from October 27th to October 31st, 2021. Each date was set to a different time to accommodate the varied time zones.

Halloween Secrets

A friend of Amber, Mike, was mysteriously murdered. Players had the opportunity to help Amber determine who the murderer was. In order to find out who the murderer was, players had to find the missing pages from the Top Secret Journal. Each page contained clues to Mike’s death, which would help the players figure out who the murderer was. Once all of the pages were located, there were various NPCs that could be interacted with to be interrogated. After the evidence was collected, players had to speak to Drooble Detective and make a guess as to who the murderer was. If the guess was correct, players would be given the Lost Hat collectable. However, if the guess was incorrect, the player would end up in jail with a participation collectable.

Spooky Cinema

This activity consisted of watching a movie in the Community Engagement VC. There were five movies that could be voted on, which were: Coco, Charlie Brown (the Halloween movie), Hocus Pocus, Monsters Inc, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. In order to vote, players were sent a form to fill out, which was left open for a few minutes. Whichever movie had the most votes by the end of the voting period was streamed in the VC.
