Overview
Giant Dung Beetles are Level 10, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located in the Deep Forest by the coast of a peninsula jutting into the Great Lake. To better combat them, gear and dexterity are needed in order to survive. Their exclusive mob drops are not required in any quests, but can be used for professions.
Giant Dung Beetles take on the appearance of a type of scarab beetle, having an interesting bronze and yellow colour. They are essentially the same as their non-magical cousins, normal dung beetles, except they are much larger and use all three horns on their heads to carry dung. Moreover, their cousins were worshipped by the ancient Egyptians.
Behaviour & Defence
Giant Dung Beetles have a total of 110 HP each. Their melee attack deals 22 damage and they have one special ability known as an AOE (area of effect) stink cloud. After being hit with a damage spell, a Giant Dung Beetle will create an area of damage that the player would need to avoid. If the player gets hit, then 55 damage is dealt with Poison and Slowness II effects added for a duration of 10 seconds.
Habitat
Giant Dung Beetles can be found living on their own fecal matter in a Roofed Forest biome within the Deep Forest, which is by the Great Lake. They reside on a peninsula that is south of Hogsworth and far east of the Grounds Keeper’s Hut. Lunaplum Lvl. 10 can be found here as well.
Defeat
Despite being a Level 10 mob, Giant Dung Beetles have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 11-20 Gear Pieces. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Giant Dung Beetle drops. These include Dung Beetle Blood, Dung Beetle Eye, and Dung Beetle Leg, which can be used in the following profession items: Charming Fizz Cakes II, White Cocoacursed Tea II, Transformation Tonic II, and Charming Concoction II.
