Valentine's in the Enchanted Valley 2021

Overview

Valentines in the Enchanted Valley was an event hosted in celebration of Valentine’s Day in 2021. The event was located in the Enchanted Valley and featured seven story quests. On completion of the seven quests, players could unlock exclusive rewards. The event commenced on the 14th of February and ended on March the 13th.

Storyline

Players met with Rayne, a young girl who shared terrible news. Her home, Enchanted Valley, had been overrun by Villains who were let in by a traitor on the Fairytale Council. Hogsworth students ventured to the Valley in order to help the Fairy Godmother provide the fairy-tale residents of Enchanted Valley their own happy endings. Throughout this event, players restored peace to Enchanted Valley and its occupants by completing a series of quests.

Location

The event was accessed by players through speaking to the Rayne NPC in the Great Hall. The main event location was a revamp of the 2017 Valentine’s build, featuring the fabled town of Enchanted Valley and the Valentine's Castle where the Fairytale Council was situated.

Quests

Seven fairytale-based quests could be completed by players during this event. Each quest was a chapter of a magical storybook found in the library of the Valentine’s Castle and had to be unlocked by exchanging Storybook Pages. There were various ways in which a player was able to obtain the pages, and they were also tradable with other players.

Happily Never After

This is the first quest of the event and is the only quest that did not need to be unlocked with Storybook Pages. The player was required to journey to Enchanted Valley and meet the Fairy Godmother who asked the player to figure out who the traitor was in the Fairytale Council. The traitor spoken of was letting villains into the Valley and disrupting the overall morale of the villagers. The player had to speak to each Fairytale Council member’s NPC and return to the Fairy Godmother to reveal who the traitor was. If the player’s guess was wrong, they had to speak to each NPC again. The traitor was revealed to be Gaston. However, he managed to escape before being caught and the player had to chase after him through a parkour challenge. After catching Gaston, the player had to prove themselves to the Fairytale Council. To do this, they needed to help five townspeople in the Enchanted Valley with their Valentine’s gifts. At each townsperson’s NPC, three options were given to choose from. If they repeatedly choose the wrong option, the Fairy Godmother asked the player to redo their selections. The quest was completed after the player successfully helped the five villagers.

Tale As Old As Time

A player was first introduced to an NPC named Maurice who required their help in finding his daughter, Belle. A particle trail leading towards the Valentine's Castle revealed a path to Belle. Once the player arrived at the Castle, they came across Lumiere and Cogsworth. The player was then given a to-do list by Lumiere and needed to complete a series of tasks in the castle’s ballroom. These tasks included setting the table, dusting the floor, enchanting instruments, and casting to turn off the lights. Upon completion of the tasks, they were teleported into a cut-scene of Belle and the Beast dancing. After this scene, the player was teleported again to a separate build in the castle where the townspeople began to attack. In order to defeat the townspeople, the player needed to activate eight traps. During this time, the Beast is attacked and a parkour challenge had to be completed in order to save him. At the end of the parkour, the player received a wand that transformed the Beast back into a human. They then got teleported into another cut-scene and spoke to Belle and the Beast, completing the quest.

Once Upon a Crime

The quest started by talking to an NPC named Jack at his house near the entrance of town. Jack reveals that his friends, Goose and Harp, were taken by a giant and he was only able to save one of them. He asked for assistance in rescuing his friend Harp, as the Giant's castle had fallen from the sky and Harp may be somewhere in the crash site. The player was given a cage to help catch Goose in order to ask for ideas to get into the site. After speaking with Goose, the player had to visit the crash site located to the left of Jack’s backyard. Here, they talked to a police officer who blocked the player from entering the site. They had to search for and collect materials to craft springboards which would then be used to get over the wall. Players then had to click on the springboards in a specific region near the crash site in order for them to work. Once in the crash site, a puzzle was given to be able to obtain Harp. The player then had to find numerous pieces of evidence around the crash site in order to cover Jack’s tracks and return to him. To complete the quest, a player needed to use the items given by Jack to transform Harp back into a bard.

Part of Your World

A player accepted this quest from the Ariel NPC near the bridge to the witch’s cottage. Ariel confessed that she has a crush on a human girl named Erica. She had heard rumours of a Sea Witch having the capabilities to help make her dreams come true and asked that the player go and speak to the Witch for her. After speaking to the Sea Witch in her cave below the Valentine’s castle, it is revealed that the Mandfolk potion would turn Ariel into a human but at the price of her voice. To brew the potion, the player needed to find the ingredients in the Sea Witch’s cave and then select the correct runes in order to enchant the potion. Once the potion was delivered to Ariel, the player was teleported into Ariel and Erica’s date where they had to help make the date run smoothly. To do this, the player orchestrated the frogs in the correct order, released the doves from their cage, and showered petals over Ariel and Erica’s boat. Unfortunately, the Sea Witch interrupted the date and captured Erica. In order to rescue Erica, the player had to sneak into the Sea Witch’s lair by swimming under the water. They then had to locate Ariel’s voice and select the correct responses in order to make Erica fall in love with Ariel once more. Using a trident, the player battled with the Sea Witch and returned to speak to Erica and Ariel, completing the quest.

Into the Cauldron

The quest begun by speaking with the NPC Gretel. Gretel revealed that her brother, Hansel, had not returned home the previous night and asked the player to help locate him. The player had to find three clues on the ground located around town. After revealing the clues to Gretel, they were sent to follow a trail of bread crumbs. They were then led to a witch’s cottage where they were captured and teleported into a cell with Hansel. To escape the cell, the player needed to obtain items that are found within the cell and use them to break open the door. Once out of the cell, the player then had to destroy the witch’s cauldron. Hansel returned home and the quest ended after revealing all the details to Gretel. 

Strawberry Red

This quest began with an NPC named Brooke. Brooke's partner, Red, lost her grandmother two years ago and Brooke asked the player for assistance in baking something to cheer her up. Special strawberries grew in the garden of Grandmother's Cottage and could be used to make a delicious Strawberry Pie. The player had to complete a maze along the way that required them to avoid the vicious wolves that were blocking certain paths. At the end of the maze, the player was asked three questions by Fairies, and after successfully answering them, was able to obtain the strawberries. Once returning to Brooke, the player baked a pie using the strawberries as well as other ingredients found in Brooke’s home. The player completed the quest by giving the pie to Red in her bedroom.

Seven Parts of a Whole

The quest began with Prince Florian at the Dwarves’ cottage. It is revealed that the Evil Queen had once again placed a curse on Snow White as well as the Seven Dwarves. While Snow White was placed back into a deep sleep, the dwarves' personalities were switched. The player then needed to find each of the seven dwarves located around the Enchanted Valley and help return them to their normal selves. At each dwarf, the player was either asked a question to respond to or needed to give them an item that they required. After helping each of the dwarves, the player concluded the quest by talking to princess Snow White who had been woken up once again.

Side Quests

There were four side quests in total for this event that players could complete every 24 hours in order to earn Storybook Pages and Event Tokens.

Painting Tales

A player accepted this quest from Phineas and was asked to help paint some of the art commissions that had come in. They were required to gather art supplies from inside the studio and from the Shopkeeper’s booth in the town square. The player then returned to Phineas and used the items obtained to paint one of the artworks requested.

Flowers Everywhere

The player needed to the Val NPC in her flower shop to begin this quest. They were asked to help create a few bouquets and had to go to three locations around Enchanted Valley and obtain three types of flowers. The player then returned to Val and had to assemble a bouquet in the correct order.

Cupid Troubles

The player accepted the quest from Sam who was located on the edge of the woods in the Enchanted Valley. The player was given a feather that, when clicked on, provided a trail to a location where they need to capture ten cupids using a cage.

Mischief Managed

Imps had stolen the ingredients for the daily offering to Cupid and the player was asked by the Priestess to help retrieve them. In order to do this, they needed to visit one of six houses in the town. In the house, the player had to obtain multiple items. One of these items required the player to click on a warp key where they were then teleported to an area and forced to battle an imp. The player then crafted the offering at the crafting bench next to the Priestess and completed the quest.

Minigames

Seven minigames could be played in this event. By completing the minigames, players were able to earn Event Tokens and Inspiration Sparks which could be exchanged to buy Storybook pages in the Valentine’s castle.

Rewards were available to be purchased with Event Tokens from the Enchanted Valley’s central market. However, some items were only available for purchase after completing all seven of the main quests.

Store Releases

For Valentine’s Day, Potterworld released three seasonal items for the store. The items were:

These items were released on the 2nd of February 2021 and were available until the 1st of March 2021.
