Overview

A Warp Key is one of the sources of travelling on Potterworld. You can set a location using your Warp Key so you can teleport to it when you please! All players have a permanent location at Hogsworth, and up to two other locations they can travel to through the Warp Key.

Obtaining a Warp Key

To obtain a Warp Key, you must complete the First Year Struggles quest. You can find the start of this quest in your respective house’s common room. Once the quest is completed, the Warp Key is yours to keep!

Have an older Warp Key bag? You can use the exchange in /me to switch it out for an updated bag! This one is also bound to your player to make it harder to lose and will allow you to customise it!

Using a Warp Key

You can use a Warp Key to set a point at a town. You cannot set a point in the wilderness. To set a point, right-click while holding the Warp Key and select the option 'Set Warp Point'. You can then set a warp in slot 1 or 2 of your Warp Key. Remember that slot 2 costs 5000 Gold to unlock. It is also important to note that you can only set your warp point in a location if you are at or above the level of the location.

To transport to the location that you set, right-click while holding the Warp Key and select one of the warps you have set. Beware that this has a cooldown of 7 minutes! You will always have a permanent warp to Hogsworth. Be sure that you are selecting the right option when using this form of transportation!

Customising your Warp Key

Not a fan of the briefcase appearance? You can purchase a Warp Key appearance here on the store! Once your purchase goes through, you can do /warpkeys in-game and select your preferred appearance.

History

Pre-Revelius, the Warp Key system was very different to the system we use currently. When travelling throughout the map, you could unlock locations which would then be saved to your Warp Key. You would be able to teleport to any of these locations for free! The cooldown was also much shorter, only being 3 seconds after each usage.
