Winter CE, January 2022

Overview

The Community Engagement events held in January 2022 commenced on various dates between the 26th and 30th of the month. The activities and rewards were centred around the winter season.

Snowy Showdown

The first activity took place on a large, icy platform with large ice spikes jutting up from the ground. Players were given a staff that contained two spells: Flipellius and Ascendo. Participants attempted to be the last one standing by knocking their opponents off with Flipellius and by saving themselves from doom with Ascendo. After some time, the platform shrank, making it much harder for players to stay in. Everyone who participated got a reward, but those who won received an extra collectable.

Across the Ice

The second activity had players skating across a partially frozen river. They had to find three items on the river that would allow them to fix the machine at the river's end, which produced cold and ice. Large spikes made of ice jutted up from the river, which made it hard for players to traverse the terrain. Players also had to watch out for the water, as it would teleport them back to the start of the river. Once they got to the end of the river, they did a sequence to fix the machine, and they would receive a special collectable in addition to the participation reward.
