Overview

Players can earn and obtain a lot of spells on Potterworld by levelling up or purchasing directly. Spell Trees were used to upgrade certain spells. However, it was replaced by Talents. There are also specific spells used for removing blocks, revealing secret passages, or just as cosmetics. In order to cast any spells, a player must use their wand.

On this page, players can find a full list of the spells found on the server that are both cosmetic and earned through levelling. You can also do /spellslist/spellList or /spells while in-game to see the full list of every spell and their descriptions as well.


Obtaining Spells

The two main methods of obtaining spells are through levelling up or purchasing them directly. However, purchased spells are only for cosmetics and do not improve a player’s ability in combat. When a player levels up, they oftentimes will be granted a new spell; these spells can be used for offensive, mobile, or utility gameplay. 


Levelling Spells List

The table below shows all the spells obtained by levelling up and their description.

Year 1

Vermillio 1 Discharge a short-ranged spark, damaging contacted targets.
Calligraphora 1 Charm: Summon coloured flares above yourself, spelling your name!
Avomora 2 Charm: Magically unlock a door long enough so that you may pass through it.
Ignis 3 Transfiguration: Focus your magic in a frontal cone, igniting targets in front of you!
Flipellius 3 Jinx: Unleash a jinx to repel your opponent, sending them flying backwards.
Leviomora 4 Charm: Levitate Leviomora blocks, which are distinguishable due to the wings engraved on them.
Resistomentum 5 Defensive: Places an enchantment on yourself, negating fall damage from your descent.
Lumen 6 Enchant your eyes with the ability to see without light, curing you of any blindness you may have suffered.
Oblittero 6 Dispel the enchantments granted by the Lumen Charm, returning your sight to normal.
Aquatimentum 7 Charm: Draw water from around you, forming a powerful stream of water to use against your opponent. Will dispel fire from around you and your targets.
Lumen Aestus 8 Charm: Unleash a blinding ray of light, blasting away darkness that blinds you and certain plants.
Levosus 9 Jinx: Erupt magical energies beneath your opponent, propelling them upwards.
Purificus 10 Defensive: Conjures a cleansing wind to douse yourself of ignition and flame.

Year 2

Revelius 11 Charm: Compel passages hidden by enchantments to reveal themselves.
Specutelum 12 Transfiguration: Charge up and a wild barrage of enchanted arrows at your target.
Risiomento 13 Jinx: Overwhelm your opponent with an uncontrollable laughter.
Immobilio 14 Charm: Radiate magic outwards around you, trapping those in your radius and immobiling them.
Arachnipello 15 Charm: An incantation that is very effective for repelling arachnids of all types, but not much else.
Resolvus 15 Defensive: Send a rush of cooling energy through yourself, rejuvenating your body back to full speed.
Contagios 16 Curse: Infect your opponent with disease, poisoning their body with toxins.
Glacios 17 Transfiguration: Drop temperatures in a small area, freezing everyone in it.
Aviforma 17 Transfiguration: Conjure unstable magical birds that will attack anyone that attacks their conjurer. Their attacks do no damage but do inflict knockback.
Ignatium 18 Jinx: Unleash an incideniary spell at your opponents, harming them and making them unable to counter fire.
Renervo 19 Defensive: Cleanse yourself, mystical energies flowing through your body, purifying you of silences and poison.
Antioculus 20 Curse: Occlude your opponent’s with a cloud of tainted magical essence.
Obscurio 20 Jinx: Obscure your opponent’s vision by swirling magical energies around their head.

Year 3

Expellimo 21 Charm: Disarm your opponent by making them unable to reach their wand temporarily, interrupting their casting.
Duromora 22 Charm: Transfigure lava into a magical stone with an unusually low density allowing you to teleport through.
Lapiforma 23 Transfiguration: Conjure unstable magical rabbits that move around quickly.
Expulsio 24 Curse: Produce an immense explosion, blasting your target a small distance into the air.
Divindo 25 Charm: Conjures forth a blade of pure magic that can slice through fabric.
Signum 26 Charm: Conjures a dazzling firework from your wand!
Propulso 27 Jinx: Discharge a powerful wave of energy, disrupting casting and throwing your opponent backwards into the air.
Directium 28 Charm: Tap into the mystical forces around you, pointing you to secrets that lie nearby.
Magmify 29 Transfiguration: Sear the ground with your intense magical might, leaving only magma behind until the earth cools down.
Religo Mortus 30 Curse: Invoke a mobility curse that tracks your opponents and, upon impact, locks their legs, preventing them from walking.
Blizzix 30 Charm: Hex the clouds above your opponent to release a heavy snowfall, slowing your opponent.

Year 4

Epifio 31 Defensive: Momentarily pause as you let magic flow through your body, finding minor injuries mending them but requiring complete concentration.
Deprimorda 32 Charm: Overflow an area with magic, causing previously unstable materials to collapse.
Stupeficus 33 Charm: Cast a quick silencing spell at your opponent, making them unable to cast. Countered by Renervo.
Impervio 33 Charm: Drive water away from a surface, ensuring it is dry for a short duration.
Ascendo 34 Charm: Using your magical might, propel yourself forward at a high velocity towards the direction you cast.
Cascamorus 35 Jinx: Fling a projectile Jinx at your opponent, bouncing off any target surfaces hit until it finds a target.
Protello 36 Defensive: Focus your magic into a small energy barrier, absorbing spells cast at you while reflecting some back at your opponent.
Orchiflora 36 Charm: Instantly sprout various flora from your wand, if contact with earth occurs the flowers then root themselves.
Incarcerum 37 Transfiguration: Sling magical rope at your opponent, binding them tightly on impact and restricting their freedom.
Venenox 38 Curse: Poison the earth with powerful toxins, dooming all who stand on it to be severely poisoned.
Aquamento 39 Transfiguration: Conjure a bubble of water out of thin air, utilising it as you would natural water until it disperses back into the air.
Incendo 39 Transfiguration: Conjure magical flames to erupt from the ground, incinerating those who are caught in them.
Recanto Enchantum​ 40 Jinx: Revoke all enchantments from your opponent, clearing them of any buffs or debuffs.

Year 5

Vanesco 41 Charm: Vanish Vanesco blocks with an incantation, becoming frozen in another plane, temporarily unable to interact with the physical world.
Confundo 42 Jinx: Imbue a target with wild psychic magic, causing screams and hallucinations to fill their mind, making them nauseous.
Tempellious 43 Curse: Attach unstable magical energies to your opponent, imploding after a short while and harming them.
Baulectrium 44 Charm: Strike your enemies with a chain bolt of lightning, dealing damage and shocking them severely.
Respiratus 45 Charm: Conjures air, creating a bubble around your head, allowing you to temporarily breathe and move underwater.
Colorovio 45 Charm: Magically alter the chemical makeup of sheep’s wool, changing its appearance.
Finite Enchantum 46 Defensive: Demand all magic to be expelled from yourself, freeing you of any curses, entrapments, jinxes or other debuffs you suffer.
Cometes 47 Transfiguration: Summon a large comet from the skies, striking your target with a large explosion and freezing the ground.
Paralotum 48 Curse: Call forth the runes of binding, swirling around your opponent, paralysing them and preventing casting.
Reductamus 49 Curse: Blast certain materials with a powerful curse causing them to break apart and scatter.
Protellomo 50 Defensive: Summon forth a large magical shield, absorbing and reflecting magical attacks targeted at it.

Year 6

Appareo 51 Charm: Bend space and time so that you may teleport great distances with a single cast, freeing you from any entrapments.
Anti-Appareo 51 Charm: Mark your enemies with a powerful charm, keeping them from using Appareo until it wears off.
Fortificus 52 Defensive: Imbue your body with powerful magic making you more durable and able to withstand the strongest of attacks.
Accersio 53 Jinx: Send out a magical energy to encase your opponent, pulling your target to you rapidly.
Meloformus 53 Charm: Magically grow a pumpkin on your opponent’s head.
Ventimus 54 Jinx: Let forth a powerful surge of air from your wand, blowing all in your path high and far into the air.
Mollio 55 Transfiguration: Transfigure solid materials into slimy material, making it easier to jump on.
Baulectrius 56 Charm: Strike the ground with lightning, electrifying it temporarily and shocking anyone who tries to stand on it.
Conflamorus 57 Curse: Launch a destructive ball of flame at your opponent, damaging and igniting them on impact!
Protellum 58 Defensive: Conjure a magical barrier, creating a complete dome around you, blocking and reflecting spells launched at it!
Meteorum 59 Transfiguration: Summon a large meteor from the skies, striking your target with a large explosion and igniting the ground.
Disappearus 60 Charm: Render yourself invisible to your opponent by surrounding yourself with a magical veil.

Year 7

Tripudio 61 Charm: Empower your body with magical energy, allowing you to temporarily jump higher than normal!
Feruvio 62 Defensive: Invoke powerful healing energies to replenish your spirit, slowly mending some of the damage you sustain.
Engorgimus 63 Charm: Mark your target with the growing charm, increasing their physical size both externally and internally.
Revelum 65 Charm: Strip your opponent of all magical enchantments hiding them from your sight, revealing them to you once more.
Igniotempus 66 Curse: Ground yourself as you radiate a sphere of wild flames, throwing back opponents and leaving a ring of fire around you.
Pierolotum 68 Transfiguration: Animate empty armour into powerful warriors to fight by your side against your opponents.
Volo 69 Charm: Grant yourself the power of speed, allowing you to temporarily run extremely fast.
Leviocorpum 70 Jinx: Dispel the effects of gravity from your opponent momentarily, causing them to levitate upwards for a few moments.

Graduate

Vulnamedius 71 Defensive: Lay down an area of healing, replenishing the spirits and bodies of any and all who enter the boundaries.
Bombardus 74 Charm: Conjure forth a concentration of destructive energy, exploding on impact.
Flamonstrum 77 Curse: Call forth a powerful wave of wild flames cursed with dark magic, leaving nothing but havoc and destruction in its path.
Tempus Recantum 78 Charm: Clear the skies, using your magical might to dispel any storms underway.
Atmospherus 79 Charm: Bend the forces of nature to your will, creating both storms of destruction and clearing them in an instant.
Devoronox 80 Transfiguration: Tear upon a rift into the universe, creating a dark void dragging any victims, including yourself, and draining their life energy.


Unlockable Spells

The following spells can be unlocked in distinct ways, where the player has to do more than level up.

Saniteris Rising Healer: Supported Quest Defensive: A tricky yet powerful regeneration spell, latching on to all those within its grasp and repairing their wounds for a short period of time.
Scribblifors Transfiguration Professor NPC Transfiguration: Conjure a Book and Quill for the caster!

Trivia

  • On March 5th of 2015, players were able to level up spells with a max of 7 level ups. This was because, with each year the player achieved, a new level of the spell was added.
  • The names for spells used to be the canon names until April 15th of 2017 when they were changed to fit Potterworld's lore.
  • On June 9th of 2018, the Exploration Update was introduced and changed the way spells were earned. The update changed them to be earned by level, similarly to how players do so today!
  • The Arena Token Shop rotates rewards, thus the spells may be redeemed on a seasonal basis.
