Aviforma's Trial

Overview

The trial of Aviforma was a live roleplay event held in the Ministry of Magicians courtroom on February 15th, 2020. Players were able to attend and participate in the trial as members of the jury. Right before the verdict was reached, the Dark Followers, Joel Crestello, Noah Pendragon, and an unidentified man broke into the courtroom, cutting the trial short. The Dark Followers presented a speech that claimed that the voting process for the trial was rigged and that Aviforma was innocent. The Dark Followers then escaped from the courtroom with Aviforma.

Storyline

Lauren Strudel was assassinated just a month into her run as Chief Auralock. The Ministry of Magicians was to hold a public trial for all suspects, one of whom was Aviforma. Aviforma was at the forefront of the protests against Strudel’s appointment, saying that an insignificant individual was put into place without any democratic process. Aviforma was being charged with three crimes: public disorder, conspiring against the Ministry, and the assassination of Lauren Strudel. Aviforma was cleared of the first two charges, however, the Dark Follower break-in occurred before a decision for the third could be reached. Due to the Dark Followers' beliefs that the Ministry was lying, they announced their purpose of overthrowing the Ministry and electing a new Dark Lord or Lady, resulting in the Dark Lord Election.

Daily Diviner Feature

A Daily Diviner feature was released February 8, 2020 announcing the trial of Aviforma.

Another feature was released two weeks later on February 21, 2020 revealing the trial's break-in by the Dark Followers.
