Dark Lord Election

Overview

The Dark Lord Election was a live roleplay event that occurred on March 29th, 2020. After Aviforma’s escape during his trial at the Ministry, the Dark Followers once again infiltrated the Ministry to announce the election of the next Dark Lord or Dark Lady. All players were invited to watch the most prominent Dark Followers compete against each other to try and win the title. There were no additional activities for players to participate in, as this live event was focused on watching the duels which would determine the next Dark Lord or Dark Lady.

Storyline

After the trial held for Aviforma, the Dark Followers were determined to overthrow the Ministry and invited all players to join them. Dark Follower members Noah Pendragon, Joel Crestello, and an unidentified man infiltrated the Ministry once again to invite everyone to the upcoming trial where a new Dark Lord or Dark Lady would be elected.

On the day of the trial, eight of the most prominent Dark Followers competed against each other in a 2v2 duel setting. Those who participated in the trial included: Leyak, Joel, Maggie, Deci, Aria, Aurora, Champ, and a mysterious hooded figure. During the semi-finals, the unidentified man and Champ were put up against each other. However, when the mysterious figure was on the verge of defeat, he cast the forbidden Mortiavra curse on Champ, killing him. Everyone watching the competition was left in shock by the murder that had just happened in front of them. Joel and the unidentified man were the final two Dark Followers standing, and they both knew only one of them could come out on top. It was a gruesome duel with both giving it their all, but, in the end, Joel was able to overpower his opponent, making Joel Crestello the new Dark Lord.

Joel gave an inspiring speech to all who were watching. He promised to bring about change and a new perspective overall for the Dark Followers. This speech was the beginning of many new events, and Joel’s leadership as the Dark Lord soon led to the Attack of the Auralock Manor.

Daily Diviner Feature

​​A featured article was released by the Daily Diviner on March 20, 2020, revealing the Dark Followers’ invitation for others to join in on overthrowing the Ministry of Magicians. Additionally, an election for the next Dark Lord or Dark Lady was announced where the most prominent members would compete against each other.
