Overview

Richard and Marissa have a huge problem. A dragon is terrorising their campsite! They need your help.

Quest Progression

To begin the quest, speak with Richard who is located in Greenshore Harbour near the port.

Dialogue

Before Accepting

  • [1/2] Please, would you help me?
  • [1/2] My granddaughter's gone missing! It'd mean a lot to me if you could help me track her down.

After Accepting

  • [1/3] Thank you so much, kind stranger! She was supposed to return a day ago from a camping trip, but never did.
  • [2/3] Before she left, she said she was planning on camping along the shore to the north of here.
  • [3/3] Her name's Marissa. Please help out this worried old man and find her!

Objective 1 - Locate Marissa

Description

Locate Richard's granddaughter, Marissa, who went camping to the north of Greenshore Harbour. Report back to Richard once you've figured out what's going on.

Dialogue

  • [1/4] Who are you? Oh! My grandfather sent you to check on me? Well, I'm unharmed, but my tent and camping supplies certainly aren't .
  • [2/4] You see that dragon over there? It flew down this morning and started wrecking my camp. I have no idea why.
  • [3/4] Don't worry, I'll be fine. Grandpa taught me all sorts of tricks when it comes to dragons.
  • [4/4] Tell you what, why don't you go back and let my grandfather know what's going on? Maybe he'll have some solutions to this predicament. I'll wait here in case the dragon loses interest and moves on.

After returning to Richard

  • [1/3] Oh my, that's terrible! We need to help her!
  • [2/3] I used to be a great dragonologist back in my day. Unfortunately, I've forgotten so much in my old age that I'm afraid I won't be of much help.
  • [3/3] Hmm... I have a notebook of dragonology information upstairs that might offer some solutions. Could you help me find it?

Objective 2 - Find a Way to Solve the Problem

Description

Search for Richard's notebook of dragonology upstairs and give it to him.

Dialogue

The note inside the chest

  • [1/3] As always, Emmie was an angel in her medical checkup. I've never met a sweeter dragon! Since her birthday overlapped with the appointment, I made sure to give her plenty of treats.
  • [2/3] I've gone ahead and scheduled the next appointment a year from today. If December 10th doesn't work for you, feel free to send me an owl.
  • [3/3] Thanks! Samuel Carson, Carson's Creature Cove

After giving the notebook to Richard

  • [1/4] Perfect! Let's see... scale infections, claw disease... How strange.
  • [2/4] It says here that rogue dragons don't attack humans unless absolutely necessary. Maybe it's hungry from roaming the wild and just needs a snack. In that case, let's make it some dragon feed!
  • [3/4] Why don't you collect [1 Coal] from the farming supplies shop on the other side of the ferry and [1 Flame-scaled Fish] from the fisherman by the docks.
  • [4/4] Return to me when you've gotten the supplies!

Objective 3 - Craft the Dragon and Feed it to the Escaped Dragon

Description

Help Richard gather the necessary ingredients to make dragon feed. Craft it, then feed it to the rogue dragon properly using Richard's notebook as a guide.

Dialogue

Fisherman

  • [1/3] A flame-scaled fish? You've got to be kidding me.
  • [2/3] Those are incredibly rare in these waters. I haven't caught a single one in nearly three months, especially without my apprentice's help. I'm not about to waste my time trying to catch one for you.
  • [3/3] You know what, why don't you try and catch a flame-scaled fish yourself? They like to swim around the bottom of the bay, avoiding nets and such. Are you ready to dive?

After collecting the coal and flame-scaled fish and returning to Richard

  • [1/3] You've got them? Wonderful! Now, the next part of the dragon feed recipe calls for an herb called Moon Hazel. Unfortunately, my notebook doesn't provide a description for it.
  • [2/3] If this old man's memory serves him right, however, it's leafy and smells like... pumpkin spice? No, that can't be right. Something similar though, I reckon.
  • [3/3] If you check the kitchen shelves, you might find the correct herb.

After selecting the right herb

  • [1/2] That's it! That's the one!
  • [2/2] Take this bowl and craft the dragon feed in my kitchen. Return to me once you're done.

After crafting the feed

  • [1/2] The dragon feed turned out perfect! I'm sure the rogue dragon will love it.
  • [2/2] Here, take this page out of my notebook and Emmie's grooming supplies. Make sure to follow the steps to approach the dragon or it may get angry. Good luck!

Page out of Richard’s Book

  • [1/4] Dragons are particular creatures. One must be very careful to approach them as they, much like the proud hippogriff, must be treated with utmost respect.
  • [2/4] Grooming is an important step to gaining a dragon's trust, but one must first pay careful attention how sensitive each part of the dragon is.
  • [3/4] The tail is an easy first step. Dragons are more careless with their tails, so rougher materials are often used to scrub away grime. Wings and legs are slightly more sensitive, but less so than the dragon's snout, which must be cleaned gently.
  • [4/4] Should any steps be followed incorrectly, the dragon may spew fire or attack the offender. Take care to avoid such mistakes.

Objective 4 - Report Back to Marissa

Description

Let Marissa know what happened with the dragon.

Dialogue

  • [1/1] Thank you for solving the problem for me! Here's a reward for your troubles.

Tips

  • Be sure to use the proper tool and technique when handling the dragon.
  • Listen attentively to Richard’s advice.
  • Don’t accept the fisherman’s quest unless you’re ready to do the underwater portion.
