Overview
Mandrakes are Level 4, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located in the Hogsworth Greenhouses with many other plants. They are one of the beginner mobs that players may come across on their adventures. While some may find the Mandrake an easy mob to kill, others may have a difficult time defeating it. Their exclusive drops are required in the quest The Quabbleball Pitch.
Mandrakes are known as dangerous creatures because of their life-threatening cry. Students and Herbologists must wear special ear-muffs when uprooting them in order to avoid being knocked out or even killed. While Mandrakes can be quite harmful, they also possess healing properties when fully grown that are used to make antidotes, potions, and painkillers for various things.
Behaviour & Defence
Upon entering the Hogsworth Greenhouses, Mandrakes will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive behaviour. However, they move very slowly and are easy to run away from.
Mandrakes have a total of 65 HP each. Their basic attack deals 7 damage and they have one special attack known as a scream. This special attack is an AOE ability that causes the player to freeze in place and deals 27 damage.
Keeping a distance from a Mandrake helps to avoid their basic and special attack.
Mandrakes have almost the same type of maturing cycle as humans. Mandrakes are very needy and unpredictable, especially when they are newborns and children. At the adolescent stage, they are secretive and can be emotional. They are fully developed creatures when they become an adult, and can be used for herbology purposes. Their risk to people is sometimes lost, as people go up against the risk of Mandrakes because of the way they are used!
Habitat
Though typically found planted in pots, Mandrakes can be seen roaming around in the Hogsworth Greenhouses. Additionally, all types of plant nodes at Lvl. 1 can be found in the Greenhouses.
Defeat
As a Level 4 mob, Mandrakes have the chance of dropping exclusive mob drops. These drops include Mandrake Sap, Mandrake Wood String, and Mandrake Eye. Additionally, like most other types of mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 1-10 Gear Pieces. The Mandrake mob drops can be used to craft Charming Fizz Cakes I, White Cocoacursed Tea I, Transformation Tonic I, and Charming Concoction I.
