Overview

Occamers are Level 45, aggressive mobs that currently reside in the mountains west of the town of Eldham Ridge. Their mob exclusive drops can be used to craft profession recipes.

They are beautiful creatures, with their serpentine appearance leading people to often compare Occamers to Dragons. The Occamer’s most striking characteristics are its royal blue colour and large wings. They are quite rare due to the many threats the species faces, making an Occamer sighting even more special. The largest threat they face is posed by humans attempting to steal their high-value, silver eggs. These attempts range from a single person sneaking into a nest to large-scale breeding schemes set up by groups of people to farm these eggs.

Human threats to the species have led to multiple organisations being created to stand up for Occamers and try to help protect their nests and eggs from thieves. The potential profit from Occamer eggs makes it difficult to fight back against these threats. Those who live in areas where Occamers are spotted are encouraged to turn in people they know who attempt to steal Occamer eggs.

Behaviour and Defence

If one is lucky enough to find an Occamer nest, they must be cautious and not be tricked by its innocent appearance. Occamers are highly aggressive and, though they do not prey on humans, their sharp teeth and claws can easily take down creatures of any size. Despite this, their diet is not made up of larger animals. Instead, an Occamer’s diet is mainly made up of large rodents and small mammals. The exact species that they prey on will vary depending on where their nest is located.

With a total of 1315 HP, Occamers can be difficult to kill without gear that allows spells to do additional damage. Their melee attack deals 263 damage and they have two additional abilities: a dash attack and an AOE (area of effect) attack that will both deal 394 damage. For the dash attack, the Occamer will move quickly in a straight line towards the player. When trying to avoid the Occamer's dash, the player should look out for purple particles surrounding the creature, as this is when it is preparing the attack. When gearing up for its AOE attack, there will be purple particles above the Occamer in vertical lines along with a circle of purple particles marking the area where damage will be dealt. This attack will create an area of damage that is best avoided. If the player does get caught in the AOE’s radius, 394 damage is dealt.

Habitat

Occamer nests can be found in various places in the wild. On Potterworld, they are found nestled in the mountains to the west of Eldham Ridge. It is easy to spot where they reside due to the blue and purple markings on the ground by trees in the area. By the foot of the trees, there are also various blue and purple flowers near the markings on the ground. Their nests are found occasionally throughout the area and are in small caves tucked into the mountains. Purple and blue surrounds the mouths of the caves and inside of their nests, teapots can be found scattered. Asphodel Lvl. 40 plant nodes can also be found in the Occamers’ nests and near the base of trees in the area.

Defeat

Upon their defeat, Occamers have a chance of dropping Level 41-50 broom materials, which include Brass Footholds, Walnut Handle, Fur Handlewraps, and Stick Bristles. They have the rare chance to drop Lvl 41-50 Gear Pieces, along with Broom Recipes. Additionally, they can drop Occamer exclusive drops such as Occamer Saliva, Occamer Egg, and Occamer Skin. These Occamer exclusive drops can be used to create the following profession items: Dark Cocoacursed Delights VI, Puffing Pod Tea VI, and Cursed Brew VI.
