Overview
Help Damien prank a group of curious third years with a bunch of scares.
Quest Progression
Begin this quest by speaking with Damien by the Haunted Shack.
Dialogue
- [1/6] Oh, hey. You caught me off guard.
- [2/6] Since you're here now, I'll let you know that I'm planning to prank a group of third year students that were planning to investigate the haunted shack to see how spooky it really is.
- [3/6] Being a seventh year can be quite stressful sometimes, so I need a good prank like this to brighten my day.
- [4/6] My idea is to scare the kids into thinking the Haunted Shack is creepier than it actually is.
- [5/6] To accomplish this, I'd need [16 Snowball]. Which can be made from the snow piles around the Haunted Shack.
- [6/6] Would you be willing to help me prank your fellow classmates? I could keep watch, while you collect all the snowballs.
Objective 1 - Collect 16 Snowballs
Description
Gather [16 Snowball] from the snow piles around the Haunted Shack.
Dialogue
- [1/6] Perfect! You got the snowballs. This prank is going to be amazing.
- [2/6] Now, while you were away, I came up with another idea.
- [3/6] There's a piano inside the haunted shack, and I think it'd be really spooky if there was a scary song playing when they arrived.
- [4/6] I tried to play the piano there, but it is just way too old to make any sound. Luckily, I know a way we can fix it! All we need is a few materials and we can make a perfect piano tuning instrument!
- [5/6] We'd need [2 Ghoul Bone], which you'll be able to get by killing Ghouls east of Hogsend. Also, [1 Fluffle Puff Tail] and [2 Fluffle Puff Fur] will be needed. You can obtain these from the nearby Fluffle Puffs.
- [6/6] If you go and get the supplies, I'll continue to keep watch. Then when you've gotten all the supplies you can craft the tuning instrument and then fix the piano! I've written down the crafting recipe next to the piano. Got it?
Objective 2 - Craft the Tuning Instrument and fix the piano
Description
Collect [2 Ghoul Bone], which can be found by Ghouls nearby. Also, retrieve [1 Fluffle Puff Tail] and [2 Fluffle Puff Fur]. Once you have all the ingredients, go to the Haunted Shack and craft [1 Tuning Instrument].
Dialogue
- [1/4] Sorry I interrupted you, but the students are coming. I had to run here as fast as I could before they saw me.
- [2/4] Now for the music. Play the notes in this order: A, C, E, F, C, E, A.
- [3/4] If you play the song exactly like that, it's sure to scare the students.
- [4/4] Once you've played the scary song correctly, you can come back to me and I'll give you the snowballs. You can't leave the shack, so you'll need to find a good spot to aim from.
Objective 3 - Scare off the third years
Description
Using Damien's scary song, play the piano and throw snowballs at the kids to scare them away.
Dialogue
- [1/3] Great, you've played the song.
- [2/3] Now we can really scare the students by throwing snowballs at them!
- [3/3] Here's a magical snowball that'll last long enough to scare them off! Make sure you stay hidden inside the Haunted Shack, so they don't see you! Find some gaps you can throw snowballs through!
Objective 4 - Speak to Damien
Description
Damien wants to talk about how you did outside the Haunted Shack.
Dialogue
- [1/1] Wow, you sure scared those third years! Great work. Take this small payment because I feel bad making you do all that work....
Tips
- All of the snowballs should be within the bounds of the Haunted Shack. Do not wander too far away.
- Aiming at the students can be difficult. Try pointing your cursor a little bit in front of them so that they walk into your snowball.
