Overview
Hogsend is a picturesque village located near Hogsworth School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The village was built in the 10th century, and is often frequented by Hogsworth students during the weekends, as there are many stores and cafes to explore.
Players can find the village of Hogsend located on the eastern side of the map. The location can be accessed at any level, however, the level range of this location is 15 and above. Players will mainly access Hogsend through the quest Journey to Hogsend. After this quest, players can access this location by talking to the Jasper NPC who is located inside the Hogsworth Boathouse.
At Hogsend players can find the Fire Dust Network in the restaurant of The Broomsticks Inn. The Crafting Centre can be found inside a storage building that is located directly opposite Honeysweets. Tommy Riddle is located just outside this storage building. The Marketplace can also be found next to the storage building. The Vendor is located in the building next to Wenlock’s Wand Repair Shop. The Bank Vault is located near the southern end of the village. To access it, locate Hogsend Bank and right-click the lever. There is not a Shady Dealer located in Hogsend. The Hogsend Reputation taskboard is found outside and to the right of The Broomsticks Inn's entrance. Similarly, the Dueling Halls NPC can be found across from The Broomsticks Inn's entrance.
Geography & Environment
Hogsend is a snow-covered village that features many shops and cottages. The buildings of Hogsend are made out of cobblestone bricks and have tall wooden roofs. Cobblestone pathways weave throughout the town and are lined with street lamps. Fountains and wells that are frozen over with ice can also be found throughout the town.
Snow covers the surrounding landscape of the village. However, there are grass plains and thickets of forest that lie on the edges of the town. A small stream also lies west of Hogsend. The general climate of Hogsend is cold, with snow being a prevalent weather condition.
Notable Locations
Hogsend Station
Hogsend Station is a train station that is used by the Hogsworth Express. It is used to transport Hogsworth students and Honeysweets’ ingredients back and forth from London. The station was built in the 19th century and features only two platforms. A bridge that is built out of bricks and red blocks is used to travel across the platforms.
Honeysweets
Honeysweets is a quaint candy store that is located near the entrance of Hogsend. The store is quite famous, and, since its grand opening, has been largely successful. The store is famous for selling an array of wizarding sweets, including Chocolate Frogs, No-Melt Ice Cream, and Sugar Quills. Honeysweets’ storefront is made out of blue bricks and has pink details. The interior of the store features a black and white checkered floor and a multitude of shelves full of candy. Honeysweets also acts as a secret passageway between Hogsend and Hogsworth, the entrance to this passageway is located in the cellar of Honeysweets.
The Broomsticks Inn
The Broomsticks Inn is a popular and lively pub that is located next to Honeysweets. The pub is one of the oldest buildings in Hogsend, with it being said that the pub was built when the village was first created. The current owner of The Broomsticks Inn is Madam Rosetta. The pub is also well known for its butterbrew. The Broomsticks Inn is a large building, with the exterior being primarily made out of wooden blocks and cobblestone bricks. The inside of the pub features a large dining hall that is crammed with tables and seats. A bar is located on the far right side of the inn. Meanwhile, a kitchen is located on the left.
The Haunted Shack
The Haunted Shack is located southeast of Hogsend. The rundown house is situated by itself on a snow-covered hill. Signs surround the shack, warning people not to get close. The Haunted Shack has been plagued by rumours and stories of it being haunted. A secret passageway that connects to the roots of the Wicked Willow can be found in The Haunted Shack. The exterior of the shack is primarily made out of dark wood. The exterior also features a broken cobblestone chimney and boarded-up windows. The interior of The Haunted Shack is in a state of ruin, featuring peeling wallpaper and many crates.

Creatures & Plants
Various creatures can be found near or around the village of Hogsend. These include Boomslangs, Flame Crawlers, Grindlings, Poison Toads, Fluffle Puffs, Ghouls, and Thestries. A multitude of plant nodes can also be found around this location. These include Asphodel Lvl. 10, Gurgle Weed Lvl. 10, Gurgle Weed Lvl. 20, Asphodel Lvl. 20, Wormwood Lvl. 10, Wolfsbane Lvl. 10, and Puffing Pods Lvl. 10.
Hidden Chests
There are a multitude of hidden chests that can be found around Hogsend. To find them, players need to search extensively around the village. These chests can be found behind locked doors and paintings. Chests emit blue particles which help players see them. The tier levels of these chests can range from 1-3. These hidden chests contain numerous items such as Level 11-20 mob drops and gear recipes.
Trivia
- In Hogsend’s history, many of the village’s citizens were prone to injuring themselves. Injuries happened so often that a reward named ‘Hogsend’s Most Maimed’ was created!
- The Broomsticks Inn is famous for its butterbrew. This butterbrew is made from a recipe that has been passed down from owner to owner ever since the inn was created!
- Players can purchase a set of robes from the Robes Merchant, which is located in the building next to Mr. Wenlock’s Wand Repair Shop. Players can then exchange these robes at their house Sr. Prefect!
