Overview

Boomslangs are Level 18, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are highly venomous snakes, most commonly found in shades of green and brown, depending on the gender. Their lustrous skins are commonly used for potion making, most notably in the Polymorph potion. Boomslangs have fangs which inject deadly venom, so it is advisable to avoid their bite at all costs. Fighting this mob is best kept for those 2nd and 3rd-year wizards who are daring and experienced enough to venture into their cave. Boomslang mob drops are required in the quests The Arachnid Lair and The Werewolf Curse.

Behaviour & Defence

Boomslangs are a fast-moving, aggressive mob that will attack players upon spawning in. Boomslangs have 230 HP, and attack using their venomous fangs, dealing 46 damage. When attacked, Boomslangs can also dart towards a player, dealing 97 damage upon hit. Boomslangs can also deal 97 damage from 6 blocks away with another special attack called a swipe. This can be countered with a stun to the Boomslang before they attack. When enraged, they can move at incredible speeds for a brief amount of time. Maintaining a safe distance while firing can help a player avoid the deadly effects of this serpent's venom.

Habitat

Boomslangs are native to African forests, where they live in the trees and shed their skin naturally, but can be found living in other areas, such as the cave beneath the west side of Hogsend as a result of illegal breeding practices. Asphodel Lvl. 10 plant nodes can be found near their cave.

Defeat

Upon defeat, Boomslangs have a chance of dropping Boomslang Egg, Boomslang Venom, and Boomslang Skin; these ingredients can be used in professions and quests. Boomslangs also have a small chance of dropping random Lvl 11-20 Gear Pieces. The Boomslang mob drops can be used to craft Dark Cocoacursed Delights II, Puffing Pod Tea II, and Cursed Brew II.
