Potions

Overview

Potions is the profession branch primarily dealing with crafting potions from plants and mob drops found throughout the world. These potions can be distinguished by their category, “Potions”, a potion bottle icon (⚱), and dark-purple-coloured lettering in its name. There are currently 7 types of potions to be brewed, and each has a different level to them, making 49 unique professions potions. As these are profession-type potions, they differ from class potions, which are brewable only in Potions classes and are distinguished by their category, “Classes”, a pencil icon (✎), and aqua-coloured lettering in its name. These potions also differ from the potions used in quests.

Potions

A majority of potions are splash potions: the Hijinx Mixture, the Cursed Brew, the Transformation Tonic, and the Charming Concoction. Each has a minimum level requirement to be brewed and used, and each deals a specific amount of a type of splash damage to both players and mobs. Level I potions deal 50 damage, Level II potions deal 100 damage, Level III potions deal 150 damage, Level IV potions deal 300 damage, Level V potions deal 450 damage, Level VI potions deal 900 damage, Level VII potions deal 1350 damage, Level VIII potions deal 2700 damage, and Level IX potions deal 4050 damage.

Other potions, when consumed, affect the player: the Restoration Draught, the Piercing Potion, and the Felix Fortuna. The Restoration Draught instantly gives the player a certain amount of health depending on the level, similarly to the amount of damage given by a splash potion. The Piercing Potion has three levels, each providing a different effect intensity and a different duration. Level I gives 3 Target Piercing for 180 seconds, Level II gives 5 Target Piercing for 240 seconds, and Level III gives 10 Target Piercing for 300 seconds. This allows the player to hit more than one person with spells for a specific duration. The Felix Fortuna gives the player Invincibility (Glowing II and a Resistance effect) for 5 seconds.

All profession potions have a minimum level requirement that must be met in order to be brewed and consumed.

Brewing

Profession potions can be brewed at Brewing Stations located at Crafting Centres and in the Advanced Potions classroom within the Hogsworth Dungeons. To begin, click on the cauldron block, which is filled with water, to interact with it. Hover over the potion you would like to brew to see all the needed ingredients. If the ingredients list is completely green, you will be able to click on it and brew that potion. Once the brewing commences, there will be hologram instructions hovering over different blocks. This includes a crafting table, brewing stand, furnace, and cauldron. To succeed in brewing the potion, follow all the steps correctly within the time limit. If you failed to brew the potion, the ingredients used will not be returned to you since this mimics item consumption.

Recipe List

Each potion is brewed with varying ingredients from killing mobs, harvesting from plants, looting from hidden chests, or purchasing them from player shops. Recipes for brewable potions can be viewed in-game from a Brewing Station or a Recipe Book purchased from Craftsman Mathaelda. Alternatively, the tables below display the items required to brew a certain potion of a specific year.
