Player Shops

Overview
Player shops are where players can sell a variety of items ranging from gear to mob drops and even collectables. These shops can be accessed from the Marketplace, Promoter NPC, and Housing NPC. To set up your shop, do /shop.
Managing Stock
There is a lot of information to take in when setting up a player shop. The sections below will go over how to add, edit, and remove items from the stock of a player's shop.
Adding Stock
In order to add items to the stock, players must do /shop to open up their Shops Menu. Once the menu is open, the green plus sign can be clicked to deposit stock. Players can deposit items from their inventory to their shop. If a player wants to deposit all of the same item, they can right-click an item. Items that are bound may not be put in as stock.
Editing Stock
When managing stock, a player can do /shop or go to the Shop Manager NPC in the Marketplace at Vertick Alley to open up the Shops Menu. From there, the gold coin labelled Manage Stock can be used. The coin opens a menu where players can set sell prices, enable or disable selling, and withdraw stock. To set sell prices, players left-click the item desired to set the price for, then click the Sell Price icon. Players can also right-click the desired item to set the sell price. From there, the price must be entered into chat. In order to set the sell state (whether an item is on the market or not), the Sell State icon in the Manage Item menu can be clicked.
Removing Stock
The Manage Stock menu can also be used to remove items from stock. In the Manage Stock menu a player must select the item they wish to withdraw, opening up a specific menu for the item. In this menu there is a minus icon labelled Withdraw. A player must enter how much of the item they want to withdraw in chat. Keep in mind that players may only withdraw the same amount of free inventory space they have. If there is no more stock of a specific item, a player may click the Remove Item icon to remove it from their shop entirely.
The Marketplace
The Public Marketplace can be found in Vertick Alley at [3018 55 -7]. Vertick Alley can be found behind the bank at Diagonal Lane. When opening the menu to buy items, players will be able to purchase things for the cheapest prices first. This determines which player's item gets sold if more than one person is selling the same item. There is also a Quick Buy NPC, which players can use to find items to purchase from their inventory.
There are a total of eight categories within the Marketplace. They are Building Blocks, Collectables, Materials, Professions, Food, Gear Recipes, Travel, and Gear Items. Each category sells specific items. In the Building Block category, players can buy items like clay blocks or decoration blocks. Collectables include scarves or Choco Hop Cards. In Materials, players can find Level 1-80 mob drops. Under the Professions category, players can purchase items earned from professions like Cooking, Potions and Herbology. The Food category includes a wide variety of food. Gear recipes can be purchased and will be turned into actual gear pieces when held. However, this section will be removed in the future. When looking under the Travel section, players can buy brooms, broom recipes, and Fire Dust. Gear Items are also sold in the Marketplace ranging from Levels 1-80.

Promoter NPC
Promoter NPCs allow players to promote their shop in various towns like Vertick Alley. If players are interested in setting up a Promoter NPC, they must right click it and purchase it. It costs 100 Gold for 7 days. When interacting with other players’ Promoters, there are options to check out their shop or their Housing, depending on their settings that can be managed in the Shops Menu.
Housing Shopkeeper
Player shops can also be found at Housing plots. In order to spawn a Shopkeeper, the player must do /h shopkeeper or /house shopkeeper in the desired location for the NPC. Other players can go to these Shopkeepers as long as the Housing access is on for the public. To purchase from the Shopkeeper, simply click on the NPC and purchase the desired item from the shop.
History
- Player shops were introduced on November 11th, 2018.
- Items were previously sold through a different marketplace system, and before that in physical shops.
