Overview
Gnollberg Port is named after its main attraction: the largest and one of the oldest ports in the wizarding world. Before the invention of fast travel methods such as the Fire Dust Network, Gnollberg Port was the main middleman between the wizarding world and all other destinations. Although it has been a long time since the port was the bustling economic and travelling centre that it once was, there are still several residents that continue to call it home.
The town can be found on the tip of the northernmost point of the east coast of the map. The first level at which are able to complete a quest in this area is Level 76, in the Graduate range. The town itself is labelled as a Level 75 difficulty, but it could not hurt to focus on levelling up before attempting to face the challenges that Gnollberg presents players with.
There are a handful of important NPCs in this area, most notably the Shady Dealer, Vendor, and Craftsman Mathaelda all clustered under their business stands. There is also a Fire Dust Network house-elf in the Town Hall, the Banker who guards the local Bank Vaults, and a Marketplace cart just beside the port itself. The Gnollberg Port Reputation taskboard can be found just outside of the Town Hall. The Dueling Halls NPC can be located east of the Marketplace cart.
Geography & Environment
Despite the fact that it is a coastal town, a majority of the flora surrounding Gnollberg Port is more reminiscent of the Taiga biome: full of Spruce trees, podzol, and patches of green grass. There is little to no sand, so what the town lacks in possible beachside tourists, they make up for in imports and exports from Greenshore Harbour and the other island towns. Nearby, the swamps are an obvious indication of the natural humidity on the eastern coast. Due to its proximity to water sources, Gnollberg Port gets its fair share of rain. However, the town also experiences sunny beach weather many other times.
Notable Locations
Dott's Marvelous Sweets and Treats
Recently, Dott’s Marvelous Sweets and Treats set up shop in Gnollberg Port, constructing a factory and inviting the residents to partake in the new economic boom that industrialisation carries along with it. It takes its name from its owner, Doctor Dott, who is famous for his numerous magical sweets. Many residents answered the calling for more employees, but several of them have taken to long hours at the factory, day and night. In fact, no one has heard from them in a while…
Unbeknownst to the good residents of Gnollberg Port, Dott’s company is a front for the doctor’s dark, Blood Magic practices. In order to achieve his goals, unfortunately, Doctor Dott needs a constant supply of human blood. His “employees” are more like batteries he keeps inside his factory, slowly draining them of their blood until they run out.
Quests
The table below includes the complete list of quests available in Gnollberg Port. Most of these have to do with the elections in town and the recently established factory which has brought additional jobs. While the factory has stimulated the economy, there is something a bit off about it…
It takes a lot of skill to complete the quests in this area, so only Graduates are able to help out around town.

Creatures & Plants
Thanks to the uniquely humid and swamp-like biomes surrounding the ocean-side town, Gnollberg Port has an abundant supply of bloodthirsty Kappas from which to obtain valuable materials for broom crafting and professions. Besides their extremely dangerous neighbours, Gnollberg offers a variety of other swamp-dwelling fauna. In fact, it’s one of the major suppliers of toad familiars for Hogsworth-attending witches and wizards!
There are a handful of useful magical herb outcroppings located in the wilderness surrounding the town which provide Wolfsbane Lvl. 70, Gurgle Weed Lvl. 70, Nightshade Lvl. 70, and Dittany Lvl. 70.
Hidden Chests
Just like any other major town in Potterworld, hidden chests can be found all over Gnollberg Port. For the most part, there are only Tier 1 chests, but the occasional Tier 2 and 3 show up based on the difficulty of discovering them. Even though the Tier 3 chest in Gnollberg Port requires players to complete a short maze, the reward is well worth it.
Since Gnollberg is one of the higher-levelled towns, the chests tend to give out a slightly larger quantity of Gold than those at lower-levelled towns such as Hogsworth. However, the loot is consistent with the other chests in major towns; it is based on nearby mobs and the level of the town. Thus, Gnollberg Port’s chests offer a litany of Graduate-level mob drops, gear recipes, and Fire Dust.
