Overview
The factory worker has been hearing strange noises through the vents. Check out what's in the vents, while still investigating the disappearance of Abigail's brother, Steven.
Quest Progression
To begin the quest, speak with the Worker NPC located outside the factory near Gnollberg Port.
Dialogue
- [1/3] Oh! While you're here... I have one more thing to ask of you...
- [2/3] See, I've been hearing strange noises coming from inside of the tunnel for a few days now. However, I haven't been able to get inside.
- [3/3] But, since you fixed it, we can get in. Thing is, I'm extremely afraid to go in. Would you check out the noises for me?
Objective 1 - Check out the noises
Description
Investigate the vents to see where the noise is coming from.
Dialogue
- [1/2] Ple- Please... water.
- [2/2] *This person holds out an empty flask to you*
Objective 2 - Retrieve some water
Description
Fill the flask with some water and then return to Harry to learn what is going on.
Dialogue
- [1/8] Ahh, thank you so much kind stranger. My name is Harry, I was a worker here up until a couple of hours ago.
- [2/8] What happened you ask? Well it's a little complicated. You see, this factory is in fact just a giant ruse.
- [3/8] Doctor Vladimir Dott isn't actually interested in crafting delicious candy like he leads people to believe. He is an extremely evil wizard with strong Blood Magic which allows him to control people.
- [4/8] I'm sure you've already noticed this, but there's a concealment charm placed on the factory to keep unwanted people out and to make everything less suspicious.
- [5/8] But that's not all. There's a charm placed on the factory that sucks the magic out of all wizards inside so that they can't fight back against the blood magic being used on them. It also allows Dr. Dott to use his magic on a larger than normal scale.
- [6/8] Eventually, the workers that are being controlled either die from trying to fight back or from exhaustion from being forced to work too hard. The dead are then sent to the "production" room. The blood and bodies are harvested and make Dott even more powerful.
- [7/8] I'm not entirely sure what his end goal is, but fighting back against him almost certainly ends in death, as you can tell with me and all the others around.
- [8/8] I'm sorry I can't help you with much more, but would you be a doll and find me a blanket and pillow so I can get a little more comfortable before I pass?
Objective 3 - Get Harry a pillow and blanket
Description
Both you and Harry know that his time is nearing the end soon. There should be some pillows and blankets somewhere in the tunnel. Find them and bring them back to Harry to make his last minutes better.
Dialogue
- [1/1] Dear kid,
- I really appreciate what you're doing here. However, I don't feel that it's right for you to have to watch me go, so I mustered up all the strength I could and crawled away from where you last saw me. By the time you're reading this, I'll probably have already moved on. Please, for the sake of Gnollberg and the world, take down Dott. He is pure evil and must be stopped before he destroys us all.
Objective 4 - Search for Steven
Description
Since you couldn't find Steven in the factory, he may be one of the dead in the tunnel. Search the bodies for any indication that Steven may be down here.
Dialogue
- [1/1] You find a nametag with Steven's name on it on the body. You also find a locket that has a picture of Abigail on the inside. You should probably return this to her.
Objective 5 - Escape and return to Abigail
Description
Find a way to exit the tunnel and bring the evidence of Steven's body back to Abigail in Gnollberg Port.
Dialogue
- [1/3] Oh my... Is it really... It is...
- [2/3] Are you sure you found this on him and not someone else? No that wouldn't make sense.
- [3/3] Thank you for returning this to me, I really appreciate it.
Tips
- There are multiple steps when getting the water, so make sure you look for all the green sparkles!
- Once you pick up the letter and read it, make sure to click it to progress in the quest!
