Overview

There is a strange force drawing people towards the ocean. Help James to investigate the force and help to solve the mystery of what is going on.

Quest Progression

To start this quest, speak to the James NPC at Gnollberg Port.

Dialogue

Before accepting

• [1/3] Hey stranger, you seem to know what you're doing.
• [2/3] Have you noticed the same pull to the ocean that I have recently?
• [3/3] I could really use help finding the source. Will you help me?

After accepting

• [1/5] Oh great, thank you so much for the help!
• [2/5] Recently I have been feeling a strange pull to the ocean and the other workers have as well!
• [3/5] It's getting to the point that it is affecting our work.
• [4/5] I really need some help finding the source of the pull.
• [5/5] Meet me on my boat, just to the right side of this dock, and we can start searching.

Objective 1 - Find the source of the Mysterious Force

Description

Meet James on his boat, just to the left side of his dock, and go out in search of the mysterious force.

Dialogue

• [1/2] Do you feel the pull? I think we are getting close!
• [2/2] Help me fix the sails and hurry! There is a Sailor's Sewing Needle in that box over there.

• [1/3] I'll finish docking the boat. You go on ahead without me.
• [2/3] I think there might be something up that path over there.
• [3/3] See if you can find some clues.

Objective 2 - Search the Island for Clues

Description

Explore the Island in search of clues to what the mysterious force may be.

Dialogue

• [1/3] Greetings, traveller. I see my pull has worked... I have waited for somebody like you to come and help me.
• [2/3] My heart was stolen from me by crazed pirates who I think are still on the Island somewhere.
• [3/3] What's this? You found one of their coins? Let me enchant it so that you can find their hideout and return my heart to me. 

Objective 3 - Restore the Heart to the Monument

Description

Find the secret Pirate hideout and find a way to bring back the heart.

Dialogue

Shark Beard

• [1/4] Back away! I will never give up my treasure!
• [2/4] Unless... I challenge you to a duel!
• [3/4] Whoever wins gets the heart and the other must leave the Island forever!
• [4/4] You will never beat me!

After defeating Shark Beard

• [1/3] How is this possible? You defeated me!
• [2/3] Very well, I guess this belongs to you.
• [3/3] We will be on our way.

Monument

• [1/2] You did it! I am ever so thankful.
• [2/2] You are welcome back to the island whenever you would like.

Objective 4 - Return to James

Description

Head back to the boat and return to James.

Dialogue

• [1/3] You found the source of the pull?
• [2/3] Thank you so much for fixing it! I cannot thank you enough.
• [3/3] Here is a sum that I think you deserve after all you have done.
• [4/4] I'll also give you access to my boat that goes between Rushstone and Gnollberg Port.
