Overview
Diagonal Lane is renowned for being an epicentre of activity. Located behind the Cauldron Inn, the lane features an assortment of venues such as stores, restaurants, and firms. Diagonal Lane is well known for being the largest shopping district in the magical world and features over a hundred shops! A majority of Hogsworth students also visit this location to purchase their school supplies.
Diagonal Lane is home to approximately five hundred magical people. The population of this alley is mostly people who are searching for jobs or running their magical businesses. As the area is notable for being economically focused, there are numerous opportunities found here. The community of Diagonal Lane is known for being supportive and dependent on each other to earn Gold. This alley is also known for housing a large population of Goblins, who live here to work at Grimlotts Bank. Despite Diagonal Lane being known for its flurry of activity, this location remains unknown and inaccessible to Unmagicals.
Players can find Diagonal Lane in London which is located on the southern part of the map. To access Diagonal Lane, players have to visit the Cauldron Inn and make their way to the back of the venue where they will find a small brick courtyard. Once there, players can tap the magical brick wall to reveal Diagonal Lane. Diagonal Lane links to both Shade Alley and Vertick Alley, making it a large shopping area for both general and dark wizards. The location can be accessed at any level, but the level range of this location is 25 and above.
At Diagonal Lane you can find the Fire Dust Network in the restaurant of the Cauldron Inn. The Bank Vault is located in Grimlotts Bank by heading to the back of the building and travelling down the staircase. The Shady Dealer can be accessed by visiting Madam Mym’s Robe Shop located on the left side of Diagonal Lane. Tommy Riddle can be found nearby the magical brick wall. There is not a Crafting Centre available in this location. However, there is a Marketplace located in Vertick Alley, which is linked to Diagonal Lane. There are also minigames located around the alley in which players can partake.
Geography & Environment
Diagonal Lane is primarily an urban area, featuring a multitude of colourful buildings that tower over the cobblestone alley. The buildings in the lane are mainly stores and restaurants, featuring popular businesses such as wand manufacturing, flying and quabbleball equipment, and pet stores. The general climate of Diagonal Lane reflects that of London, with cloudy skies and rainy days being prevalent.
Notable Locations
Grimlotts Bank
Grimlotts Bank is located at the very end of Diagonal Lane. The bank is a grandiose building that is built out of white marble and towers over the lane. The elegant architecture is also reflected on the inside of this building. The grand hall of Grimlotts Bank features large overhanging chandeliers and walls gilded in both marble and Gold. Large arched windows that look out onto Diagonal Lane and Vertick Alley are also present. Furthermore, dark wooden counters line the hall which features working Goblins. After its opening, the bank became an immensely popular place, with many magical folks being drawn to the state-of-the-art vault system which could be used to store their valuable items and Gold. However, despite the extensive and secure vault system that Grimlotts has to offer, the bank has been a site of multiple elaborate break-ins.
Jollivander's Wand Shop
Jollivander’s Wand Shop is a famous wand store notable for being the place where many young witches and wizards first get their wand! Jollivander’s is located across from Grimlotts and features a black brick facade and large windows that take up the store’s front. Like many of the buildings in Diagonal Lane, Jollivander’s Wand Shop is a tall building and has multiple stories.
Cauldron Inn
The Cauldron Inn is the place where Diagonal Lane is accessed from. The Inn acts as a protective barrier between the magical shopping area and the Unmagical world. The Cauldron Inn from the outside looks like any typical pub in London, featuring a dark brick and wooden facade. Inside the Inn, there is a restaurant that contains wooden tables which are littered with food and beverages. The pub also features a large fireplace which acts as Diagonal Lane’s Fire Dust Network.

Creatures & Plants
There are Niffly creatures located through the bank vaults of Grimmlotts. These cute little creatures are nice until they or their Gold is provoked.
Hidden Chests
There are numerous hidden chests located around Diagonal Lane. To find them, players need to search extensively around Diagonal Lane and inside its buildings. These chests can be hidden behind blocks and locked doors! Chests emit blue particles which help players see them. The chests' levels range from Tier 1-3 and will give more or less Gold depending on its tier. These hidden chests feature an array of items such as Level 21-30 mob drops, gear recipes, and broom recipes.

- The Daily Diviner building is located in Diagonal Lane and players can talk to the News Seller NPC to purchase any past articles from the publication!
- An In-Game Store NPC is located just out front of Podric Batworthy the XXIII Beard Trimming Shop.
- Autumn is considered the gold season for Diagonal Lane, with many witches and wizards flocking to the alley to purchase their back-to-school supplies!
