Overview
Nifflies are Level 26, neutral mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located deep beneath the wizarding bank of Grimlotts in London. However, a vacant cave of theirs can be found somewhere north of The Dwelling. While they are lower-levelled creatures, Nifflies can deal quite a bit of damage and require some gear and decent spells in order to defeat and survive. Their exclusive mob drops are not required in any quests, but they can be used in professions.
Nifflies are small beasts with an appearance that resembles a beaver but also has the bill of a duck. They usually have dark fur and are able to stand on two feet. While their bill can be sold for a large amount of gold on the black market, their fur is said to contain lucky properties and is typically used in potions.
Behaviour & Defence
While exploring below Grimlotts, Nifflies will begin to spawn. However, they will only start to attack if a player attacks them first. While these creatures are slow-moving, they have abilities that allow them to quickly teleport a short distance and deal damage to a player farther away.
Nifflies have a total of 470 HP each. Their basic attack deals 94 damage and they have two special abilities known as coins and leap. After being hit with a spell, a Niffly may choose to use one of these two abilities against the player. Their coins attack is an AOE (Area of Effect) ability that deals 156 damage. A Niffly might also choose to charge up their leap attack in order to dash towards a player and attack them dealing 156 damage as well.
Multiple Nifflies can spawn at a time, and when antagonised, can deal quite a bit of damage together. Continuously strafing and keeping a distance helps to avoid both their basic and special attacks. It is also important to have some gear and decent spells on hand in order to survive and defeat these creatures.
Nifflies are attracted to the shine of certain objects such as trinkets and gold. Because of this, they also have a tendency to steal such things off of a person as well as from inside different buildings. While these creatures are able to be trained, it can be extremely difficult to do so and requires a great deal of magical aptitude.
Habitat
Nifflies are native to the British Isles, but some have been imported to native countries including northern Europe. These creatures usually live up to twenty feet below ground in large burrows which they have dug out themselves. On Potterworld, an infestation of Nifflies can be found living below the wizarding bank of Grimlotts in London. However, they also have a cave near The Dwelling where they keep many of their trinkets. No herbology plant nodes can be found here.
Defeat
As a Level 26 mob, Nifflies have the chance of dropping exclusive mob drops. These drops include Niffly Fur, Niffly Meat, and Niffly Tail. Additionally, like most other types of mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 21-30 Gear Pieces. While their exclusive mob drops are not required in any quests, they can be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Puffing Pod Fudge III, Jester's Stew III, White Cocoacursed Tea III, and Hijinx Mixture III.
