Overview
Bowleaves are Level 42, aggressive mobs in Potterworld. They currently reside within the forest south of Griffin’s Hollow. Bowleaves can deal quite a bit of damage if there are multiple of them. In order to better combat them, gear and dexterity are needed in order to survive. One of their exclusive mob drops is used in the Secrets in the Tower quest. However, all can be used for professions.
Behaviour & Defence
In keeping with their territorial behaviour, if two trees inhabited by Bowleaves are close enough together, they will fight each other over the land in between them. Despite their size, these creatures can have full territorial wars against each other, being very loyal towards their 'factions' and antagonistic to others. Taking the role of tree guardians, an offering of woodlice can help pacify and distract the Bowleaves.
Bowleaves have a total of 1095 HP each. Their basic melee attack deals 219 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and missile. After being hit with a damage spell, a Bowleaf may choose to either: swipe at the player with razor leaf, or send a vine whip missile projectile that the player would need to avoid. If the player gets hit by swipe or missile, 328 damage is dealt. To best counter this mob, it is best to have the Ascendo spell or a broom at hand. This would help in getting to a perch spot atop the surrounding trees to safely attack from.
Habitat
Bowleaves are originally found in western England, southern Germany, and certain Scandinavian forests. Within Potterworld, Bowleaves can be seen hanging around the forest south of Griffin’s Hollow. Their spawn area resides in a Jungle and Plains Biome containing a grassy clearing, towering spruce and oak trees, and large, singular oak tree with a stone cavern beneath it. Mainly Lunaplum Lvl. 40 nodes can be found here.
Defeat
As a Level 42 mob, Bowleaves have the chance of dropping Level 41-50 broom materials such as Brass Footholds, Walnut Handle, Fur Handlewraps, and Stick Bristles. There is a rare chance of them dropping Lvl 41-50 Gear Recipes and an even rarer chance to drop Broom Recipes, which includes recipes for the Briskbranch and Solarsweep brooms. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Bowleaf drops. These include Bowleaf Eye, Bowleaf Sap, and Bowleaf Wood String, which can be used in crafting the following profession items: Charming Fizz Cakes V, White Cocoacursed Tea V, Transformation Tonic V, and Charming Concoction V.
