Overview
Boglogs are Level 66, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located in a swamp to the west of Haggleton. These creatures are quite powerful and require good gear and strong spells in order to survive and defeat. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests A Feathered Friend and Dangers of the Night, you may also encounter them during the Plant Protection Program quest.
Boglogs look almost identical to pieces of dead, floating wood when staying completely still in the water. These creatures are very good at camouflaging into the swamplands and it can be extremely difficult to differentiate between them and a piece of wood without inspecting it closely. However, these creatures may use this opportunity to attack whoever or whatever is trying to inspect them. Boglogs have extremely sharp teeth and finned paws that allow them to quickly glide through the waters and marshlands in order to sneak up on their prey and attack.
Behaviour & Defence
Upon entering the swamp, Boglogs will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive behaviour. While these creatures do not move extremely fast, they have abilities that allow them to deal damage to a player farther away.
Boglogs have a total of 3255 HP each. Their basic attack deals 651 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and hydro pump. After being hit with a spell, a Boglog may choose to use one of these two abilities against the player. Their swipe attack is a special ability that swipes at a player and deals 976 damage. A Boglog might also choose to use their hydro pump attack which is an AOE ability that deals 976 damage.
Multiple Boglogs can spawn at a time and all crawl towards a certain player. This can quickly get overwhelming, as they can deal quite a bit of damage. Having good gear and strong spells is necessary in order to survive and defeat these creatures.
Boglogs are omnivorous creatures that eat both plants and small animals. One of their favourite foods are Mandrakes. Unfortunately, this means that Mandrake growers frequently experience Boglog attacks and lose many of their plants because of them.
Habitat
Boglogs are native to North and South America as well as Europe. These creatures typically live in swamps, marshlands, and some lakes. On Potterworld, Boglogs can be found living in a swamp to the west of Haggleton. Additionally, Gurgle Weed Lvl. 60 plant nodes can be found scattered around the swamp area as well.
Defeat
As a Level 66 mob, Boglogs have the chance of dropping Level 61-70 broom materials as well as exclusive mob drops. These drops include Gold Footholds, Rowan Handle, Cotton Handlewraps, and Twig Bristles as well as Boglog Tooth, Boglog Fin, and Boglog Gills. Additionally, like most other types of Lvl 61-70 mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 61-70 Gear Pieces and Broom Recipes. Materials such as Footholds, Handle, Handlewraps, and Bristles can play a part in crafting such recipes into brooms. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests A Feathered Friend and Dangers of the Night, they can also be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Charming Fizz Cakes VII, Charming Fizz Tea VII, Charming Concoction VII, and Restoration Draught VII.
