Overview
Demoxies are Level 43, aggressive mobs in Potterworld. They currently reside within the mountain ranges towards the west end of Great Britain near Eldham Ridge. None of their exclusive mob drops are used in quests. However, all can be used for professions.
Clad in loose and grainy black hair, this magical creature comes equipped with an extra set of arms and legs. In addition, their shiny wings that are akin to a beetle’s and two rows of sharp, venomous teeth only add to the Demoxie’s vexing nature. The best thing to do is to keep away from these creatures and keep them out of your house, or you may suffer from their venomous bite.
Demoxies tend to do more harm than good; yet, interestingly, their venom is used in one of the products sold through the Wacky Wizarding Wonders company currently based in Diagonal Lane, London.
Behaviour & Defence
Upon nearing their habitat, Demoxies will begin to spawn and will immediately attack a player due to their aggressive nature.
Outside their habitat in the wilderness, Demoxies are known to infiltrate houses and live within the drapes. To rid of them, there are two ways: by utilising Demoxide, the demoxie repellent, or the Knockback Jinx, as it works better against the queen Demoxie than Demoxide.
Demoxies have a total of 1200 HP each. Their basic melee attack deals 240 damage and they have three special abilities known as missile, dash, and dodge. After being hit with a damage spell, a Demoxie may choose to either: throw a projectile missile of purple and white sparkles, dash straight towards the player with a flurry of white particles, or dodge any incoming spells by strafing leftwards or rightwards amidst black particles. If the player is hit by the dash or the projectile, 360 damage is dealt. To best counter this mob, it is best to have a broom at hand to fly fast out of range or to be ready to cast the Knockback Jinx.
Habitat
Originally found in Northern Europe and North America, Demoxies have a preference for particularly cold climates. Within Potterworld, they spawn around a group of mostly barren trees in a valley of the mountain range west of Eldham Ridge and northwest of Squalus Cove. Their area resides in a Jungle and Plains Biome containing spruce trees with the occasional wooden treehouse and Wrinklefig Lvl. 40 nodes scattered about.
Defeat
As a Level 43 mob, Demoxies have the chance of dropping Level 41-50 broom materials such as Brass Footholds, Walnut Handle, Fur Handlewraps, and Stick Bristles. There is a rare chance of them dropping Lvl 41-50 Gear Pieces and an even rarer chance to drop Broom Recipes, which includes the Briskbranch and Solarsweep recipes. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Demoxie drops. These include Demoxie Brain, Demoxie Dust, and Demoxie Ear, which can be used crafting in the following profession items: Jester's Stew V, Puffing Pod Tea V, Hijinx Mixture V, and Restoration Draught V.
