Overview

Trolls are Level 47, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located near the mountains to the west of Griffin’s Hollow. While they are a middle-levelled creature, they can deal quite a bit of damage and require decent gear and spells in order to survive and defeat them. Their exclusive mob drops are required in the quest Rest in Peace

Trolls are often viewed as intimidating, menacing creatures because of their large and unappealing appearance. They can grow to a height that is almost twice the size of the tallest witch or wizard. Trolls also have a large nose that greatly increases their sense of smell; this often acts as their “alert” system, as it allows them to smell something from several miles away and sense when a possible enemy is approaching. These green giants make no effort to try and keep themselves clean and therefore are usually described as disgusting due to always being covered in mud and slime.
Trolls have incredible strength and possess rudimentary magic that greatly helps them defend themselves as well as survive in the wilderness. These creatures can usually be found living in large “packs” with many others of their same species. Trolls will often work and live together so that they can survive more easily.

Behaviour & Defence

Upon entering the Troll camp, Trolls will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive behaviour. While these creatures are not naturally fast-moving, they have abilities that enhance their speed as well as deal damage to a player farther away.

Trolls have a total of 1440 HP each. Their basic attack deals 288 damage and they have three special abilities known as boulder toss, dash, and sprint. After being hit with a spell, a Troll may choose to use one of these three abilities against the player. Their boulder toss attack is a special ability that sends a splash missile towards a player and deals 432 damage. A Troll might also charge up their dash ability in order to teleport to a player and attack them dealing 288 damage. Finally, this creature may choose to use their sprint ability to enhance their speed to sprint towards a player in order to attack them.

Multiple Trolls can spawn at once and all run towards a certain player. It can quickly become overwhelming, as they do deal quite a bit of damage. Having decent gear and spells is necessary in order to survive and defeat them. It is also extremely helpful to have a mobility spell on hand since these creatures have a lot of abilities that increase their own mobility.

In order to communicate, these creatures will grunt or growl to each other. People who are not familiar with their nature will often keep a distance out of fear that they are dangerous. However, despite their aggressive behaviour, a Troll will not purposely kill a human unless absolutely necessary.

Habitat

Trolls can be found living in an area consisting of large caverns which make up a “camp”. These caverns have been molded out and formed using their incredible strength or rudimentary magic. Within these caverns, a Troll will also hibernate for a few days at a time. However, if they are required to make a camp outdoors, these creatures will uproot trees to create small tents out of the leaves.

On Potterworld, Trolls can be found living in their camp to the west of Griffin’s Hollow near the mountains. Scattered around their camp, multiple Wolfsbane Lvl. 40 nodes can be found and harvested.

Defeat

As a Level 47 mob, Trolls have the chance of dropping Level 41-50 broom materials as well as exclusive mob drops. These drops include Brass Footholds, Walnut Handle, Fur Handlewraps, and Stick Bristles as well as Troll Bone, Troll Nail, and Troll Bogie. Additionally, like most other types of mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 41-50 Gear Pieces and Broom Recipes. Materials such as Footholds, Handle, Handlewraps, and Bristles can play a part in crafting such recipes into brooms. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quest Rest in Peace, they can also be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Dark Cocoacursed Delights V, Charming Fizz Tea V, Hijinx Mixture V, and Cursed Brew V.
