Overview

Gnomes are Level 33, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are small, relatively harmless humanoid creatures. Most witches and wizards know them as the pests that munch on their garden herbs and vegetable roots, but Gnomes have a harsh bite when they feel threatened. Nonetheless, most wizards and witches regard Gnomes as harmless and cute, so they are rarely eradicated until it is gardening season. You will recognise these creatures by their disproportionately large head over their miniature torsos and limbs, giving it a likeness to an overgrown human baby. Some rumours have circulated that Unmagicals are aware of Gnomes’ existence, but considering their wildly inaccurate depictions of them in pointed hats and all-red get-ups, this theory remains just that: a rumour.

Behaviour & Defence

If any wizard intends to get rid of these pests, they must first catch them. Once they have the gnome in their grasp, they must grab them by the hands and spin three times at the very least before hurling them over their garden fence. If there is a large colony of gnomes or a highly desirable garden in question, however, this may not be enough to completely eliminate the infestation. In fact, there are some records that mention Gnomes returning to their favourite gardens by devious means. The practice of employing magical creatures to extirpate Gnomes is not illegal, but is frowned upon by most.

If one is seeking the benefits of these mini-monsters’ drops, the player should be advised that Gnomes are incredibly fast and tend towards swarming their victims for better chances of survival. When Gnomes feel threatened, they rush towards their victims, clawing at them and dealing 157 damage. At their best, they use their magical capabilities to deal 235 damage. Any students whose parents ask them to weed out the Gnomes in the garden dread the process, especially because Gnomes are surprisingly durable creatures with 785 HP, so the weeding is often left to the older siblings in 3rd and 4th year.

Habitat

Gnomes live in both the gardens and front yards of wizarding folk, occasionally tending towards the wooded or grassy areas surrounding the home instead. They dig burrows under their territory, and the remaining dirt piles make locating them easy. It is widely considered the best practice to simply cover up these holes for cosmetic purposes as well as to avoid injuries like twisting ankles or having them bitten by the watchful Gnomes. On Potterworld, the Gnomes are primarily located in the pumpkin patches near The Dwelling. Around these pumpkin patches, Wrinklefig Lvl. 30 plant nodes can also be found.

Defeat

Upon defeat, Gnomes have a chance of dropping level 31-40 broom materials, Gnome Ears, Gnome Remains, and Gnome Brains. These ingredients can be used in professions, quests, and crafting broom recipes. The mob specific drops can be used to craft Jester's Stew IV, Puffing Pod Tea IV, Hijinx Mixture IV, and Restoration Draught IV. Gnomes also have a small chance of dropping random Lvl 31-40 Gear Pieces.'Bold text'
