Overview
Vexlings are Level 72, aggressive mobs that currently resides in the forest northeast of the town of Antrum. There are currently no quests that require the player to defeat Vexlings, however, their mob-exclusive drops can also be used to craft profession recipes.
Vexlings are short creatures, with a stature of around 3 feet. They have elfish features and pointed faces, along with bright orange eyes. Red, yellow, and orange spikes protrude from their heads. Despite their small size, they are incredibly dangerous beasts. These creatures notably love the taste of children and are often said to not be good for anything but death.
Behaviour & Defence
Vexlings are aggressive creatures that prefer to attack children. Over the years they have become quite knowledgeable of many human languages. They use their vicious cackle to attract young children into the shadows, as their laugh is inexplicably alluring to kids. Once they get a hold of children, they will often consume them. Due to this, Vexlings are often seen with blood dripping from their mouths and sharp teeth. Despite preferring to eat children, Vexlings will still attack adults. After choosing their victims, Vexlings will shoot dart-like objects at the victim that will stun and paralyse them.
With a total of 4005 HP, Vexlings can be incredibly difficult to kill without gear that allows spells to do additional damage. Their melee attack deals 801 damage and they have three additional abilities: a swipe attack, a sprint attack, and a dodge attack that will all deal 1305 damage. The Vexling’s swipe attack will come out in a white slash when the player is close to the Vexling and will do 1305 damage. The sprint attack allows the Vexling to sprint a large area towards the player, the player should look out for orange and red particles coming from the creature to see when the Vexling will attack soon. Additionally, a trail of orange particles will follow the Vexling when it sprints. When the Vexling dodges, it will quickly move to the side and black particles will come out of the creature.
Habitat
While Vexlings originate from the Black Forest in Germany, they can be found deep in the forest northwest of Antrum on Potterworld. Up in the mountains, in a forest of spruce trees, they tend to congregate in the clearings between the trees. Scattered throughout the area, especially by the base of trees, Wrinklefig Lvl. 70 plant nodes can be found and harvested.
Defeat
Upon their defeat, Vexlings have a chance of dropping Level 71-80 broom materials, which include Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles. They have the rare chance to drop Lvl 71-80 Gear Pieces, along with Broom Recipes. Additionally, they can drop Vexling-exclusive drops such as Vexling Ear, Vexling Brain, and Vexling Remains. These Vexling-exclusive drops can be used to create the following profession items: Jester's Stew VIII, Puffing Pod Tea VIII, Hijinx Mixture VIII, Restoration Draught VIII, Jester's Stew IX, Puffing Pod Tea IX, Hijinx Mixture IX, and Restoration Draught IX.
