Manticore

Overview
Manticores are Level 69, aggressive mobs in Potterworld. They are found northwest of Haggleton by a mountain range within the Deep Forest. While none of their exclusive mob drops is required in any quest, this mob can be encountered during the Tainted Blood quest.
This abhorrent beast possesses the head of a man, the body of a lion, and the wings of a dragon. Some believe its venomous tail is similar to that of a scorpion, yet others believe it is filled with poisonous spines similar to a porcupine’s quills.
When Manticores are cross-bred with Flame Crawlers, their offspring are known as Explosively-Ended Newts.
Behaviour and Defence
Manticores are an aggressive mob with a taste for human flesh. Upon nearing their habitat, they will begin to spawn and immediately attack a player due to their aggressive and carnivorous behaviour.
Take caution when dealing with this mob as its claws and tail are extremely lethal, and, moreover, they are highly intelligent and capable of human speech. Manticores will hide their bodies in tall grass, showing only their human faces, and sing sweetly to lure unsuspecting prey. If a victim attempts to run away, the Manticore will fly after them at a terrifying speed and launch its quills/stinger like an arrow to paralyse them. After successfully subduing its prey, the manticore will devour them whole while singing and leave no trace of the victim behind. Be wary that their tough, golden skin repels most spells, which makes them more difficult to defeat.
Manticores have a total of 3690 HP each. Their basic melee attack deals 738 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and dash. After being hit with a damage spell, a Manticore will either swipe at the player with white slashes or dash towards the player in a flurry of red particles. If the player gets hit by either, 1107 damage is dealt. To best counter this mob, it is best to have gear equipped as it helps in dealing more damage and protects against any hits.
Habitat
Originally, Manticores were known to live in Persia and Greece. Within Potterworld, Manticores can be sighted flying around the mountain range northwest of Haggleton, which lies towards the northwest end of Great Britain within the Deep Forest. This spawn area resides in a roofed forest biome containing a variety of stone and red blocks, spruce and oak trees, a mountain range, as well as the occasional cave. Mainly Wormwood Lvl. 60 plant nodes can be found here.
Defeat
As a Level 69 mob, Manticores have the chance of dropping Level 61-70 broom materials such as Gold Footholds, Rowan Handle, Cotton Handlewraps, and Twig Bristles. There is a rare chance of them dropping Lvl 61-70 Gear Pieces and an even rarer chance to drop Broom Recipes. Additionally, the mob drops exclusive Manticore drops. These include Manticore Hide, Manticore Meat, and Manticore Sting, which can be used in crafting the following profession items: Puffing Pod Fudge VII, Jester's Stew VII, White Cocoacursed Tea VII, Hijinx Mixture VII, and Piercing Potion I.
