Overview

Predictises are Level 31, neutral mobs on Potterworld. They are currently located along a path near The Dwelling to the northwest of Wightwaye. While they are a middle-levelled creature, they can deal quite a bit of damage and require decent gear and spells in order to survive and defeat them. Their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests Home Is Where the Heart Is and Peculiar Planting.

Predictises are extremely elusive creatures and almost impossible to catch; this is mostly due to their luxurious, silky hair which gives them the ability to turn invisible. These sloth-like creatures are constantly being hunted by witches and wizards, as their valuable hair can be used to make cloaks of invisibility. However, without being specifically trained to hunt Predictises, it is impossible to even see them or to know what to look for.

Not only does a Predictise have the ability to turn invisible, but they are also known for having the ability to predict the future. Because of this, they are able to accurately predict what a person is about to do and can easily escape capture. An individual must do something completely unexpected, even to themselves, in order to have a chance at capturing a Predictise.

Behaviour & Defence

While travelling along the path near The Dwelling, Predictises will begin to spawn. However, they will only start to attack if a player attacks them first. These creatures are slow-moving, but have abilities that allow them to quickly teleport a short distance and deal damage to a player farther away.

Predictises have a total of 1180 HP each. Their basic attack deals 190 damage and they have two special abilities known as swipe and dash. After being hit with a spell, a Predictise may choose to use one of these two abilities against the player. Their swipe attack is a special ability that swipes at a player and deals 213 damage. A Predictise may also charge up their dash ability in order to teleport towards a player and attack them dealing 213 damage as well. 

Multiple Predictises can all spawn at once, and when antagonised, can deal quite a bit of damage. Continuously strafing and keeping a distance helps to avoid both their basic and special attacks. It is also important to have decent gear and spells on hand in order to survive and defeat these creatures.

Habitat

Predictises are native to the continent of Asia, specifically China, Korea, and Japan. Their exact habitat is currently unknown, as these creatures are very elusive. However, it is rumoured that they live in large burrows. On Potterworld, Predictises can be found living along a path near The Dwelling to the northwest of Wightwaye, surrounded by Wormwood Lvl. 30 plant nodes.

Defeat

As a Level 31 mob, Predictises have the chance of dropping Level 31-40 broom materials as well as exclusive mob drops. These drops include Bronze Footholds, Elm Handle, Silk Handlewraps, and Rope Bristles as well as Predictise Fur, Predictise Meat, and Predictise Tail. Additionally, like most other types of mobs, they also have a rare chance of dropping Lvl 31-40 Gear Pieces and Broom Recipes. Materials such as Footholds, Handle, Handwraps, and Bristles can play a part in crafting such recipes into brooms. While their exclusive mob drops are required in the quests Home is Where the Heart is and Peculiar Planting, they can also be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Puffing Pod Fudge IV, Jester's Stew IV, White Cocoacursed Tea IV, and Hijinx Mixture IV.
