Overview

Xanthius Lovett has asked you to help him plant a new type of seed around his house but cannot remember what tools to use. Experiment with each tool laid out before you, but be careful of some of the dangerous side effects.

Quest Progression

Begin this quest by speaking to Xanthius Lovett outside of The Hovel.

Dialogue

• [1/6] Hmmm... it seems I've forgotten the most beneficial materials to use for my garden.
• [2/6] Each of the materials cause my plants to react in a peculiar way, but now I'm not quite sure what each of the materials do.
• [3/6] I've gotten my [1 Dragon Fang Gardening Tool] and [1 Powerful Fertilization Powder] prepared, but I still need [1 Beginner's Hoe] and [1 Self-Sprouting Fertilizer].
• [4/6] Gathering [2 Hobgoblin Bone] to the east of here then collecting [2 Predictise Fur] from Predictise, near The Dwelling, will allow you to create the hoe.
• [5/6] Oh, and I'm sure the farmer at Tristmoor will have the fertilizer. If you follow the west path, you'll see a village with blue roofs, that's how you'll know you're in Tristmoor!

Objective 1 - Craft the Beginner's Hoe and collect Self-Sprouting Fertilizer

Description

Gather [2 Predictise Fur] from the mobs to the east and [2 Hobgoblin Bone] from mobs east of The Dwelling. Find the farmer in Tristmoor, to the west of the Hovel with the blue roofs, and obtain [1 Self-Sprouting Fertilizer]. Return to the Hovel and craft [1 Beginner's Hoe].

Dialogue

• [1/4] People have been coming to me time and time again asking if they could get materials for free!
• [2/4] This is the last time I'm doing this!
• [3/4] I don't have any pre-made bags for you, but I do have the serum to make the fertilizer. You'll have to do it yourself though!
• [4/4] Here, take this serum and put it on the fertilizer in my garden. Keep what you made and go on with your day.

Objective 2 - Test everything on the soil

Description

Test how each of the different tools and fertilizers work on the soil.

Objective 3 - Report to Xanthius

Description

Report to Xanthius and explain what happened to the soil.

Tips

• Remember to use the in-game command /map if you get lost. You can view mob locations there.
• If you are not sure about an answer, guess. It is perfectly fine to not know sometimes.
