Overview

Nundooms are Level 79, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They are yet another big-cat type magical creature. They closely resemble leopards that live in Africa, which is close to where the Nundooms live. Their fur tends towards a dark, black complexion speckled with yellow. Nundooms are considered by researchers to be some of the deadliest magical creatures of all, up there with Dragons and Dementares. Their claim to deadly fame lies in their stealth, agility, and most significantly: their extremely potent, toxic breath. The effects are so vile that it has been said to wipe out entire villages. Thanks to the overwhelmingly formidable skills of this creature, it has never been defeated by any less than 100 wizards fighting it at once. There are currently no quests that require the player to defeat Nundooms, but their mob exclusive drops can be used in professions.

Behaviour and Defence

Because of their dark-toned coats, Nundooms are much better at camouflaging themselves at night, which is when they leave their hideaways to hunt and kill. They are extremely stealthy and agile, giving them the ability to not only hide from even the most trained wizard eyes in the shadows but also to pounce before they can do anything about it. They tend to be lone cats but sometimes form small packs to raid villages. They are carnivorous and are capable of swallowing their victims whole.

While they are not easily threatened, when they are, Nundooms unleash their toxic breath, dealing 1600 damage. Due to their dangerous nature, some studies have been done on their toxins, but after several lab accidents, these studies have not produced much content, nor more desire to investigate the Nundoom species. Still, some information, such as their 5335 HP, has been uncovered, alongside the strength of their claws’ swipe: 1067 damage. Any player below graduate level attempting to take these felines out ought to think twice.

Habitat

Nundooms are native to East Africa, where their leopard look-alikes provide them with cover from their would-be Unmagical hunters. However, in recent years, they have been spotted in forest clearings past Greenshore Harbour, one of the most dangerous islands in the magical world thanks to the dangerous mobs that live there. In their native lands, during the daytime, they retreat into their tree top hideouts and caves, but, at night, they raid and wipe out entire villages when nature’s bounty is not plentiful enough. In contrast, the Greenshore-dwelling Nundooms seem more subdued, more willing to appear during the day, and often are spotted using larger rocks as back-scratchers. Surrounding their dens, swathes of Wormwood Lvl. 70 plant nodes grow and enrich the forests of Greenshore.

Defeat

Upon defeat, Nundooms have a chance of dropping Iron Footholds, Elder Handle, Leather Handlewraps, and Straw Bristles, Nundoom Hides, Nundoom Meat, and Nundoom Tails. These ingredients can be used in professions items like the Puffing Pod Fudge VIII, Jester’s Stew VIII, White Cocoacursed Tea VIII, Hijinx Mixture VIII, Piercing Potion II, Puffing Pod Fudge IX, Jester’s Stew IX, White Cocoacursed Tea IX, Hijinx Mixture IX, and Piercing Potion III, and crafting brooms. Nundooms also have a small chance of dropping random Lvl 71-80 Gear Pieces and Broom Recipes.
