Overview

Grindlings are Level 22, aggressive mobs on Potterworld. They have massive heads with mouths as big as half their face and twice the size of a human’s, and their poison-green eyes are framed with tiny horns and scratched skin. Their torsos are their only human-presenting aspects, with large stomachs and thin arms, but only three long fingers reminiscent of octopus tentacles. Their diminutive stature often leads the unknowing adventurer to believe they’re facing a baby, but despite their resemblance to a baby human’s torso, they are indeed adults and fight with an adult’s skill levels. Below their stomach is nothing but coarse, wrinkly skin and flimsy appendages, but their backs are beautifully patterned with jewel-like scales, contrasting the rest of their monstrous visage. These fearsome creatures are not for the easily frightened, so it is better not to fight them until 2nd year.

Behaviour and Defence

Grindlings are pudgy yet surprisingly agile and aggressive creatures that will attack players upon spawning in. Grindlings have 330 HP of health, and attack using their strong tentacles, dealing 66 HP of damage when they get close enough. They have two special abilities known as a dash and bubble. While attacking players, they can choose to dash towards them or use an AOE ability to deal 124 HP within a certain radius. Having some gear as well as varying your attack ranges depending on what attacks this mob is using will benefit players greatly against this mob.

Habitat

Grindlings are largely reclusive creatures, preferring to stay in warm, damp, dark swamplands, so it is not likely that you will spot them in the wild. Their cave is located to the southwest of Hogsend underwater. If you find yourself in the bogs at night, you better watch out for the shadows lurking beneath the algae’s surface, because once their tentacles latch onto you, they will not let go.
Additionally, Gurgle Weed Lvl. 20 nodes can be found around their cave.

Defeat

Upon defeat, Grindlings have a chance of dropping Grindling Gills, Grindling Tentacles, and Grindling Teeth. Even though the Grindling exclusive mob drops are used quests, they can be also be used in the crafting of profession items such as the Charming Fizz Cakes III, Charming Fizz Tea III, Charming Concoction III, and Restoration Draught III. Grindlings also have a small chance of dropping random Lvl 21-30 Gear Pieces.
