Overview

Sneelers are Level 39, aggressive mobs that currently reside on farmland north of the town Tristmoor. There are currently no quests that require the player to defeat Sneelers, but their mob exclusive drops can be used to craft profession recipes.

With their stripes constantly shifting colours, these giant, magical snails are often kept as pets so that witches and wizards can watch their changing hues. They also have sharp, venomous spikes running along the top of their shell to deter creatures that would do them harm, such as birds and rodents.

Behaviour & Defence

Despite being slow-moving creatures and often kept as pets, they are an aggressive mob that will begin to attack after they spot a player.

Their venom is the only known substance able to kill harkplums (a fellow magical creature) and is dangerous to humans as well. They also have a poisonous slime that kills all plants and life that fall into the trail.

With a total of 1000 HP, Sneelers can be difficult to kill without gear, which allows spells to do additional damage. Their melee attack deals 200 damage and they have two additional abilities: splash missile and an AOE (area of effect) attack. Both of these attacks deal the same amount of damage and add a poison effect to the target for 5 seconds. What makes these attacks differ is how they are executed. The splash missile is an attack initiated after the player damages the Sneeler, in which the Sneeler will launch a poisonous missile that will deal 300 damage and add the poison effect. For its AOE attack, the Sneeler will create an area of damage that is best avoided. If the player does get caught in the AOE’s radius, 300 damage is dealt, in addition to the poison effect.

Habitat

While Sneelers originated in Africa, they began to spread to parts of Europe, Asia, and North America after magicals began to breed them. On Potterworld, Sneelers have taken over an unnamed farming town located north of Tristmoor and east of Longbay Landing. At this town, Sneelers lurk about in both the open and within a cave located along the southern border of the farmland. The majority of the southern part of the town is covered with their poisonous slime, becoming thicker and more prevalent closer to the mouths of the cave. Inside the cave, the walls and ground are covered with green slime. Located inside of the cave are multiple Asphodel Lvl. 30 nodes, which can also be found in the area surrounding the Sneelers’ spawn.

Defeat

Upon their defeat, Sneelers have a chance of dropping Level 31-40 broom materials, which include Bronze Footholds, Elm Handle, Silk Handlewraps, and Rope Bristles. They have the rare chance to drop Lvl 31-40 Gear Pieces, along with Broom Recipes. Additionally, they can drop Sneeler exclusive drops such as Sneeler Egg, Sneeler Slime, and Sneeler Skin. These Sneeler exclusive drops can be used to create the following profession items: Cursed Brew III, Dark Cocoacursed Delights IV, Puffing Pod Tea IV, and Cursed Brew IV.
