Voting Tokens

Voting Tokens are the currency received by a player when they vote for PotterworldMC on one of our approved Minecraft websites. These websites can be viewed in-game with the command /vote. The voting token balance can be viewed when performing commands such as /bal, /balance, /ac, and /money. 

By voting consistently every day and claiming /daily, players can create and maintain a voting streak. These unlock streak packs, which include Academic Credits, House points, and XP boosts. The higher the voting streak, the greater the reward. Streak packs obtainable are 1-Week Streak Pack, 2-Week Streak Pack, 3-Week Streak Pack, 2-Month Streak Pack, and 3-Month Streak Pack. The highest unlocked streak pack can only be claimed per day.

Voting Leaderboards can be viewed around the Trophy Room. Displayed are the top 10 voters within each house, the top voting houses, and the top three voters per house. These leaderboards are reset at the end of each quarter in a year, with the top voting house receiving 300 House points.

Earning Voting Tokens

Voting Tokens can be earned daily when a player votes. For each vote of the server, a player will gain 10 Voting Tokens. A player can vote on five links each day, gaining a maximum of 50 Voting Tokens per day.

History

Voting Tokens were introduced in August 2016, when there were two websites to vote on. Initially, players would trade for rewards with the Token Shop NPC in Room 243-00. In 2020, the location of this NPC was moved to the Trophy Room, beside the Credits Trader and Professor NPCs.

In November 2023, updates to the Voting Store were announced. Notably, streak packs, XP boosts, cosmetic reward tiers, and leaderboards were released. Cosmetic reward costs were also reduced.
