Winter Olympics 2018

Overview

The Winter Olympics Event began on February 10th and ended on February 16th, 2018. The Winter Olympics’ Opening Ceremony was celebrated in Hogsend. Along with the ceremony, there were two quests and a Sledding tournament.

Storyline

Players had to help the torchbearer, Anna, locate and mend the ceremonial torch before the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

Location

This event took place at the ice skating rink in Hogsend. There were stands found around the area that were decorated for the Winter Olympics.

Quests

Two quests could be completed during the 2018 Winter Olympics. These quests went along with the storyline of the event. 

The Missing Torch

The Opening Ceremony of the Olympics was about to begin, but Anna misplaced the ceremonial torch. Before the ceremony began, players had to help her find the torch somewhere in Hogsend. Anna began to explain how she might have lost the torch along the path to Hogsend, to which players found nothing. Upon returning to Anna, she mentioned how the torch could have been lost near the Haunted Shack. There, players would retrieve the torch and return to Anna. This quest rewarded players with the Olympic Scarf.

Mending the Torch

After retrieving the ceremonial torch, it was revealed to players that it had been broken. Not knowing how to fix it, Anna asked players to help her out. Players began by going to Bits N’ Bobs and talking to Marcus. This led to players running around Hogsend and Diagonal Lane to find different materials needed to mend the torch. After retrieving all of the materials, players returned to Marcus and fixed the torch. Once this was done, players returned to Anna and received the Olympic Torch.

Side Quests

There were no side quests during this event.

Activities

During this event, there was only the Sledding Tournament.

Sledding Tournament

The multiplayer minigame of Sledding was released to players during this event. In order to participate in the tournament, players had to join the queue for Sledding through /games. Players competed on the leaderboard and the top 3 received prizes. These prizes were House points, Gold, and store items. This tournament ended on February 16th and the winners were announced later that day.

Contests

There was no contest hosted along with this event.

Rewards & Collectables

Players could purchase rewards from an NPC and complete quests during the duration of the event. The rewards from the NPC cost players Gold. The table below shows all of the rewards players could receive from the event.
