Havoc in Hellas 2022

Overview

The 2022 Valentine’s Day event occurred on the island of Kalphos. The event took place between the 12th of February and the 6th of March. Players were able to complete daily side quests, follow the main storyline through quests, forge keys, play minigames, and purchase exclusive collectables.

Storyline

During this event, players had to restore peace to the island of Kalphos by helping the people of Kalphos solve their problems, and most importantly, fixing the statue at Aphrodite’s Temple by venturing into the lavish labyrinth.

Location

The Havoc in Hellas event took place on a large island in Ancient Greece. The players could explore the beautiful coasts of Kalphos, pick golden apples off of the lush green trees and converse with the friendly citizens of charming Calitus Town.

The main locations on the map were Aphrodite’s Temple, the Marketplace, Zeus’ Temple, Calitus Town, Hades' Cave, Poseidon’s Fishing Village, and Farm Island.

Quests

In order to unlock each main quest, players had to find a door to the next floor down in Daedalus’ Labyrinth. Each Labyrinth door required a special key to allow the player to descend to the next floor down. The keys could be forged using Drachma and special materials at The Forge, located in Calitus Town.

A Tough Temple to Crack

After a tiresome journey to Kalphos, Kevin recommended visiting Aphrodite’s Temple. Once the player arrived, a cutscene triggered and showed the Aphrodite statue cracking. The player talked to a priestess who explained that there is an unstable labyrinth underneath the island. The player then had to find a way to enter the labyrinth by searching for clues. One of the metopes which were scattered around the outside of the temple displayed an image of the waterfall next to the temple. The player then had to go to the lake in front of the waterfall and successfully complete a parkour to make it to the entrance of Daedalus’ Labyrinth. In order to unlock the entrance door, the player had to answer three trivia questions correctly.

Family Ties

In the second main quest, Demeter was very distressed and asked the player if they could assist in finding her daughter Persephone, who had been kidnapped and taken to the Underworld by the god of the dead, Hades. With Hermes’ help, the player entered the Underworld. The player then had to complete multiple parkours and confront Hades.

A Love Test

In this quest, the player aided Psyche in redeeming herself towards Aphrodite and Eros. The player had to help Psyche by completing various tasks to make Aphrodite and Eros proud of her again.

The Race for Love

In this quest, the player had to help hopeless Hippomenes prove himself to Atalanta in a foot race. Hippomenes asked the player to race for him because he was too slow. The player had to complete a long parkour with checkpoints to finish the race. Unfortunately, the player lost against Atalanta. Hippomenes then came up with a plan to distract Atalanta during the race and the player was given the task to place three shiny golden apples on the race course. After that, Hippomenes won the race and Atalanta’s heart.

Monster in the Maze

In the fifth and final main quest, the player discovered the centre of the immense labyrinth and restored Aphrodite’s statue after escaping a dangerous monster.

Side Quests

Love Beyond the Wall

Two lovers, Thisbe and Pyramus, longed to be together but are separated by a tall brick wall. During this series of quests, the player had to help Thisbe and Pyramus see each other in secret and resolve the evergoing feud going on between their families in the final quest by visiting a small mermaid cave on the coast of the island and retrieving an ancient family heirloom.

Sinful Situations

Zeus gifted Pandora a sacred box that contained the seven evils. Pandora opened the box out of curiosity and unknowingly released the seven evils into the world, which are lust, greed, glutton, sloth, wrath, pride, and envy. This series of quests contained seven daily quests, in which the player had to help Pandora resolve an issue that a certain evil caused. The player received a special reward after completing all seven quests.

Skirmish at Sea

Peta requires the player’s help in repelling three legendary sea monsters: the Trojan Cetus, Lernean Hydra, and Charybdis, away from his boat and back into the deep by crafting and throwing bombs at them.

Minigames

There were nine different minigames that players could access through an NPC in the event. Each of these games gave players Event Tokens, which they could then trade for rewards.

Daily Taskboard

For the event, players had the option to complete a unique set of seven Daily Challenges off the Taskboard. These challenges involved participating in minigames and games. They provided additional Event Tokens and Drachma upon collection. At midnight Pacific Standard Time (PST), the Taskboard was reset and was able to be completed once more.

House Point Competition

Players could offer Drachmas to one of three temples. The three temples players could choose from were: Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades. The winning house of each temple received House points at the end of the event. Every 12 hours, players were able to switch the temple they wanted to contribute to.

Contests

There were no contests held during this event.

Rewards & Collectables

The following exclusive rewards and collectables could be obtained during this event. In addition, this event launched a new, free tool available at the Rewards NPC: the Event Token Pouch. This gave players a place to store their event token collectables.
