Overview

Spring Awakens in the Fairy Grove 2022 occurred from April 9th to April 30th, 2022. During the mini-event, players had to help the fairies of Fairy Grove get ready for the spring season. They could do this by doing the quests and collecting motes. Exclusive rewards were available for purchase as well, including a Talent Necklace, and there was a Monthly Art Giveaway.

Storyline

During the event, players assisted the Fairy Grove fairies with springtime preparations. Players met fairies of each five talents and learned what each one does to get Spring ready. These talents included: animal, garden, light, tinker, and water. Once meeting each fairy and completing a task for each of them, players picked a talent of their own. They were then able to continue helping out by getting a water balloon fight ready, collecting clutter along the river, feeding fireflies, teaching fish how to swim, helping ladybugs, pollinating flowers, and fixing tools.

Location

To get to the main event hub, which was based at the Fairy Grove, players talked to the Kevin NPC near the entrance to Hogsworth’s Great Hall. Players were then shrunk down and transported to the grove, where everything around them looked ginormous. In the centre of the build was a giant tree surrounded by a river. Beyond the river was land divided up into four different quadrants, each representing one of the four seasons. Players could only visit the spring section, where giant animals such as deer, butterflies, and ladybugs, lay around. A video showcasing the build can be found on the PotterworldMC YouTube channel.

Quests

There was only one main quest called A Spring Awakening. During this quest, players explored Fairy Grove and help five fairies of each talent prepare for spring. Afterwards, they could pick a talent of their own.

A Spring Awakening

To start the quest, players had to speak to the Kevin NPC inside the big tree in the centre of the map. Players then spoke to the animal talent fairy, Mariposa. To help Mariposa, players made nectar to attract butterflies to Fairy Grove. They would then complete a Butterfly Hearding Parkour course to give the nectar to the butterflies.

Players then had to go help Lillia, the garden talent fairy. To help Lillia, players participated in a puzzle game called Lawnsweeper. The players marked where rocks were so that the garden fairies could remove the rocks and plant flowers instead.

The next task was to help the light talent fairy named Posie. Posie wanted to make a rainbow to welcome the players, but, to do this, she needed to get light from her mirror. Players fixed the mirror for Posie so that she could make a rainbow. Afterwards, players saw a rainbow made out of particles.

Pipit, the tinker talent fairy, was the next fairy that players assisted. To help Pipit, players repaired the strings on a broken instrument. After it was fixed, players played notes in the order of F, D, G, C, and E. Players then listened along to a soothing tune performed for bird eggs.

The last fairy that players had to help prepare for spring was Dorielle, the water talent fairy. She had lost her enchanted necklace in the river. Since she could not get her wings wet, Dorielle asked the players to find her necklace, as it was very special to her.

Upon helping all five fairies, players returned to Kevin at the tree. Players then picked a talent that they thought suited them most. Whichever talent they picked, they were given a corresponding necklace collectable.

Side Quests

Once players completed the main quest, seven side quests were unlocked, five of which players could complete every 12 hours. Each talent had at least one quest. These quests were called Balloon Brawl, Collecting Clutter, Feeding Fireflies, Fish School, Ladybug Clinician, Power Pollinator, and Tinker Tools. These awarded players Event Tokens and respective motes.

Balloon Brawl

This was a water fairy side quest. To celebrate the Thai Festival of Songkran, players were tasked with getting water balloons ready for the water balloon fight. Once a player got the balloons from a tinker fairy shed, they participated in a water balloon fight. To complete the quest, players had to hit ten fairies with water balloons.

Fish School

This was another water fairy side quest where players taught fish how to swim. To do this, the players would find a giant fish and turtle and help them complete a small maze by clicking arrows in a GUI.

Collecting Clutter

This was a tinker fairy side quest where the tinker fairies needed players’ help cleaning up the riverbanks after a storm caused tools to be scattered around the river. Players had two minutes to collect as many broken tools as they could. By running around the riverbank and clicking on a sparkling crate, players received a random piece of clutter from the following: String, Twig, Chunk of Rock, Torn Book, Broken Compass, and Cracked Lantern. For each piece of clutter collected, one Event Token was earned in exchange.

Tinker Tools

This was another tinker fairy side quest where players picked a tool to fix: either a hammer, shovel, or broom. They had to collect the materials from the shed and then repair them at a crafting table.

Feeding Fireflies

This was a light fairy side quest where players fed fireflies. At the fireflies' abode, players would find a table with a light dot on it, the fireflies' food source. To collect the food, the player had to click on the light dot. They could collect one light dot at a time. Once a player had a light dot, they would click to throw it, aiming at one of the fireflies roaming about. If the dot hit a firefly, then the firefly became fed. Players fed ten fireflies to complete the side quest.

Ladybug Clinician

This was an animal fairy side quest where players examined a ladybug to figure out what was wrong with it. The player would talk to an NPC named Bear, who gave options as to what was wrong with the ladybug and corresponding treatments. Once a player decided on a diagnosis and a fix, they would craft or concoct what was needed to cure the ladybug. These treatments included: a thorough bath and deep cleaning, a quick touchup on the ladybug's spots, brewing a potion, tending to the ladybug's wings for rehabilitation, and giving some healing medication for recovery.

Power Pollinator

This was a garden fairy side quest where players helped pollinate flowers. Using a bucket of pollen, they would fly from flower to flower in an elytra-style course, clicking on each flower with the bucket to deposit the pollen.

Activities

There was one activity for players to do during this event. After players had finished the main quest and picked a talent, they started collecting motes. Completing a side quest gave the player a singular mote of its corresponding talent. For example, completing the light fairy side quest rewarded one light mote. If the player's chosen talent matched the talent of the side quest they completed, five motes were earned instead. On display by the tree was the server-wide count of motes collected per talent. When one of the talents reached 500 motes collected, the ladybug collectable was unlocked and available for 100 Event Tokens.

Contests

There was one contest during this event called the Monthly Art Giveaway. Starting April 6th, players had until April 27th to make and submit an art piece with fairies in it. One entrant was randomly picked at the end of the month to win Potter Points and House points. The winner was announced on May 1st.

Rewards & Collectables

There were a variety of different event items that players were able to obtain throughout the event.

By talking to various NPCs at stands at the base of the Fairy Grove tree, players could have purchased a variety of Collectables, Banners, Heads, and Exclusives with Event Tokens. These tokens were able to be exchanged for Gold as well.
