Archaeology
This year, a new type of activity was released. This activity is called 'Archaeology', which consists of digging for artefacts. The activity can be done any time while at Magifaisteio with no cooldown.
How to start
To start Archaeology, students must talk to Dimitris Raptis, found within the cave at [-1872 38 -1923]. After speaking to Dimitris Raptis in the cave, head down to the beach by the Kelpie Dock and talk to him again [-1752 24 -1756]. He will then give you [1 Shovel], [1 Paydirt Bucket] and [1 Archaeological Log Book].
Participating in the activity
The main activity is simple;
- Go to a beach (see below for different locations).
- Dig at different spots until the bucket is full.
- Sneak + Right-click within the allocated wash area (see below for different locations).
Artefacts
There are a total of 37 artefacts to be found, all with different rarities: common, uncommon, rare, and legendary.
These rarities also give a number of snowflakes per artefact find, at the following rates;
- Common - 2 Snowflakes
- Uncommon - 3 Snowflakes
- Rare - 5 Snowflakes
- Legendary - 10 Snowflakes

Beaches
There are 3 main beaches, and an upgrade of the Shovel is required to unlock new ones. Beach 1 does not require an upgrade, Beach 2 requires a Tier 2 Shovel and Beach 3 requires a Tier 3 Shovel. Dimitris is also at Beach 2 and Beach 3 for the player's convenience.

Upgrades
There are three upgrades you can buy, two mandatory for progress and one optional.
Tier 2 Shovel
The Tier 2 Shovel requires 200 Snowflakes and 250 spots dug. This lets you dig up 9 paydirt per digging spot. This upgrade also allows you to dig at Beach 2.
Tier 3 Shovel
The Tier 3 Shovel requires 350 Snowflakes, 500 spots dug and the Tier 2 Shovel unlocked. This lets you dig up 15 paydirt per digging spot. This upgrade also allows you to dig at Beach 3.
Magic Bucket
The Magic Bucket upgrade allows you to wash your bucket anywhere while having the chance at receiving any of the 37 artefacts. This is helpful if you want to collect more Snowflakes. However, it reduces your chances of finding the artefacts you might be looking for since you can obtain any artefact at any beach with this upgrade. You must have dug 650 spots, have 500 Snowflakes, and unlocked the Tier 3 Shovel upgrade to unlock the Magic Bucket.
