An Explosive Investigation

Overview

On November 20th, 2020, The Lorekeeper’s Compendium was attacked and Auralocks were quickly notified of the incident. The Auralocks decided to allow players to help investigate the incident from November 20th to December 11th, 2020.

Storyline

After an explosion was reported in Diagonal Lane, Auralocks were quickly sent to contain the flames at the affected building. This building was The Lorekeeper’s Compendium. There was little information that could be tracked, but Auralocks believed that the Dark Followers were behind the crime, though, nothing was officially confirmed. 

After the flames were contained, the building was opened to the public to investigate.

Quests

Authority Granted

To begin this quest, players had to travel to the Roleplay Hub to speak to the Auralock Official NPC. From here, players needed to locate the Shady Dealer NPC and answer a question about the Ministry of Magicians. Upon completion of the quest, players were given the Auralock permit, which allowed them to explore The Lorekeeper’s Compendium.

Activities

Hidden Interactions and Areas

To learn about the different incidents between other allegiances, players had to find various hidden areas and interactions. Within these secret areas, players could find 8 clues that would eventually allow them to figure out who or what caused the incident at The Lorekeeper’s Compendium.

Crestello Vault Key

After discovering one of the secret rooms, players were given a key to the Crestello Vault. The secret room would be unlocked if players found two pieces of paper with a code on them. The files of the Crestello’s could also be found, but many words were scratched off of it.

Temporal Shard

After discovering all of the secrets in the Compendium, players were given the ability to travel back in time. By doing so, players now had the ability to explore the undestroyed building and various artefacts could be interacted with.

Daily Diviner Article

A Daily Diviner article was published on November 20th, 2020. There was a description of the incident and a statement from Chief Auralock Matt Griffiths.

Rewards & Collectables

Exclusive rewards and collectables were able to be obtained throughout this event. These are shown in the table below.
