Dark Followers

Overview

The Dark Followers are a group that is led by a Dark Lord or Lady. The current Dark Lord is Noah Pendragon. Dark Followers seek to free members that are imprisoned by the Ministry of Magicians. Dark Followers have a long history of committing violence and acts of evil. They have gone through several duels in order to determine who the true Dark Lord or Lady was. Various attacks on other allegiances have also been caused by Dark Followers. Though they may seem to be responsible for most crimes, there have also been times they had an alliance with other factions.

Roleplay Storyline

Below is the current roleplay storyline following the events with the Dark Followers.

Chapter 1

After the assassination of Chief Auralock Lauren Strudel, one suspect was accused of the crimes; this was Aviforma, an individual who was at the forefront of many protests. Aviforma was quickly detained after the incident and a trial was later announced to be held on February 15th, 2020. Those in attendance at the trial were part of the jury that made the final verdict. Aviforma was charged with three different crimes: causing public disorder, conspiring against the Ministry, and the assassination of Lauren Strudel. During the trial, Aviforma was heavily questioned due to the Ministry believing that they were the criminal in the case. However, this trial was cut short with the Dark Followers breaking into the Ministry. Joel Crestello and Noah Pendragon were involved in this break-in. In the courtroom, these Dark Followers made a speech to the jury in attendance. They accused the Ministry of rigging the votes cast in order to keep Aviforma from leaving and gaining freedom. Joel and Noah offered an alliance to anyone that wanted to join the Dark Followers for the upcoming revolution. The two Dark Followers freed Aviforma and fled the scene with him. 

Soon after the incident at the Ministry of Magicians, Dark Followers published a video to invite players to join them in overthrowing the Ministry. Along with the invitation came an announcement of the upcoming election for the next Dark Lord or Lady. This was held on March 29th, 2020. On the day of the election, the Inner Circle of Dark Followers invited the strongest of duellists to fight for the title. This consisted of Leyak, Joel, Morgan, Deci, Aria, Aurora, Champ, and a mysterious figure. Through a series of duels, the final two included Joel and the mysterious figure. Joel managed to win the duel and claim the title of Dark Lord. In his speech following the victory, he claimed that the Ministry of Magicians would be brought down and the Dark Followers would return to their former glory. 

On April 11th, 2020, Joel Crestello made his first move as the new Dark Lord. The Inner Circle of Dark Followers planned an attack on the Auralock Manor in Hogsend. Rumours of the reason for the attack quickly spread, mainly focusing on the idea that the Dark Followers were attempting to discover proof against the Ministry. Unfortunately, the Dark Followers did not get far before Auralock officials arrived at the scene. Most were able to escape, but Noah Pendragon was captured and imprisoned for later questioning. Fortunately for Noah, he was broken out of the prison soon after.

Elite Auralocks managed to attack the Dark Follower and Phoenix bases over the night of May 22nd, 2020 in Operation 83-C. The Inner Circle and many members of the Dark Followers were successful in escaping before the attack occurred. However, there were many reported casualties caused by this event. Both bases involved were destroyed to the point that repair could not be done. After the attack, the Dark Followers formed an unlikely alliance with the Phoenixes. Both had the same goal of taking down the corrupt leader of the Ministry, Shakti Bhardwaj. One of their first moves together was the Attack on the Ministry. Dark Followers were tasked to create explosives to destroy the Auralock Base. When Shakti was summoned, Joel Crestello and the Lord of the Phoenixes, Joshua Pendragon, disagreed on what to do with her. Following the manner of Dark Followers, Joel wanted to kill Shakti, but Joshua wanted to simply arrest her. In the end, Joel killed Shakti, which caused the alliance with the Phoenixes to be broken.

Chapter 2

In a journal entry by Joel, he wrote that death was inevitable. He knew that he must figure out a way to defy the odds though. Joel thought of many ideas, including the Lore Compendium, but most would not have worked in the end. On November 20th, 2020, the Lore Compendium in Diagonal Lane was attacked. With the known journal entry, Dark Followers were quickly accused of the crimes committed. Accusations mainly came from Chief Auralock Matt Griffiths, but nothing was officially confirmed. On the same night of the attack on the Lore Compendium, Joel Crestello went missing, leaving no trace. Right-hand Sara Selwyn mentioned that whoever was responsible for the disappearance of the Dark Lord would pay.

Ten days after the disappearance of the Dark Lord, he was found in an alley in Diagonal Lane. It had seemed like he was beaten and bruised. When people approached Joel, he viciously lashed out at them, which led him to quickly be arrested by Auralock officials. On December 1st, 2020, Joel was interrogated. An hour into the interrogation, Joel attacked Ministry official Gemma Kent. He was rearrested and sent to the Psych Ward in Merlin’s Magical Hospital. The next day, Joel managed to flee the hospital and return to the Dark Followers. Dark Baron Noah Pendragon and Dark Mistress Sara Selwyn seemed to have overthrown the Dark Lord while he was missing. Upon his return, Joel killed a member of the Dark Followers with his reckless behaviours. An attack on Joel was planned, but not successful, Joel was able to escape before anything happened.

A Dark Duel was announced and held on January 16th, 2021. The previous Dark Lord Joel Crestello challenged the new Dark Lord Noah Pendragon and Dark Lady Sara Selwyn. Other previous Dark Lords or Ladies were also invited to compete in this Dark Follower tradition. On the day of the event, only three competitors came to participate: Joel Crestello, Sara Selwyn, and Noah Pendragon. In the midst of the duel, it was revealed that Noah had a plan all along: a partner to duel with; this was Seberius Gregorovitch. He too used to be a Dark Lord. However, Seberius used an inexcusable curse on Joel, which led him to be disqualified from the competition. Joel was too weak to continue on, leaving Sara to be the only one left against Noah. After Sara missed a shot, Noah took the opportunity to overpower Sara. She decided to pledge her loyalty to Noah, making him the new Dark Lord. 

During the Dark Duel, a bug was placed on Noah’s clothing. This captured audio that contained information on the Dark Follower’s plans. In this meeting, Werewolf Alpha Kade Everard made an appearance to help the Dark Followers. They planned to attack the new base of the Phoenixes using the tunnels scouts found out about. This was planned to take place on January 30th, 2021. 

As planned, the Dark Followers invaded the Phoenix base on January 30th. It did not take long before Dark Followers were discovered and Phoenixes were able to call back up. Some Dark Followers had previously been captured, so many members of the Dark Followers freed them in the base. A confrontation happened between the Dark Followers’ Inner Circle and the Phoenixes. This led to Andreu Zoldyck, the right-hand to the Lord of the Phoenixes, to fall into a coma. 

On March 7th, 2021, Chief Auralock Matt Griffiths declared a 100,000 Gold bounty on the Dark Hand. The members of the Dark Hand were the Dark Lord, Noah Pendragon; the Dark Baron, Henry Chimera; and the Dark Mistress, Sara Selwyn. Many members of the wizarding community went off to look for these individuals to claim the bounty. A month after the bounty was announced, a mysterious letter was found, which stated that Henry Chimera and Sara Selwyn were captured. The bounty was still up for grabs and the various allegiances made plans to obtain the members of the Dark Hand on April 10th. The captured members were brought to Longbay Landing. Dark Followers were able to rescue the Dark Hand, but were met with a new problem. All of the allegiances were there and a potion was planted to cause an explosion. Alongside the other allegiances, Dark Followers worked to stop the potion from exploding. In the end, the teamwork between allegiances fell apart and they all left in their own ways.

Dark Follower Base

Located deep in the forest are the grounds of the Dark Follower's base. Here you can find multiple watchtowers, the graveyard, and, hidden behind the waterfall, the haunting halls which make up the base. The base itself contains various rooms including a library, an armoury, prisons, offices, duelling halls, and even bunks. While all should explore the area, beware of the Demoxies that encompass it.
