Overview

On January 30th, 2020, the live roleplay event “Root of the Problem” was held, where players were able to choose whether they would assist the Dark Followers or the Phoenixes. It culminated in a performance by the Seer team, further establishing the rivalry between these two factions.

Storyline

After the Phoenixes captured certain Dark Followers and imprisoned them in their newly built Phoenix base, the Dark Followers and their allies, the Werewolves, hatched a plan to retrieve their lost members. They entered the base, expecting to sneak in and out without being caught, but the Phoenixes had anticipated their arrival. The Dark Followers were forced to dodge trap after trap that the Phoenixes had laid to reach the prisons. However, once they reached the end, they found that the Phoenixes had not hidden any of their fellow Dark Followers, and the two factions’ leaders broke out into a fight. Unfortunately, the Dark Lord’s final spell, “Paratolum Maxima”, left Andreu, the Flamekeeper of the Phoenixes, paralysed. The fight ended there with the Dark Council retreating and the Phoenixes rushing to get Andreu medical attention. Following the conclusion of the event, the Phoenix Base was made accessible from the Roleplay Hub.

Activities

The Phoenixes and Dark Followers were sorted into different groups in order to complete this activity.

The Phoenixes were tasked with setting and firing off traps in order to thwart the Dark Followers’ plans. They baked cakes to summon Homunculi, casted Reductamus to destroy part of the Dark Followers’ path, and created Sleeping Draught potions to stall them.

The Dark Followers, on the other hand, had to avoid their traps, dodge their spells, elude the Homunculi, and parkour up to the cells where they presumed that they would find their captured comrades.
