Overview

The Phoenixes are a roleplay allegiance described as kind-hearted and courageous by many. Influenced by the sacred bird of myth the group is named after, they strive to stand up for what is right and demand for change. The current Phoenix Lord is Max Fireheart.

Roleplay Storyline

Below is the current roleplay storyline following the events with the Phoenixes.

Chapter 1

On May 3rd, 2020, amidst all the fear and panic caused by the Dark Followersattack on the Auralock Manor in Hogsend a month prior, Joshua Pendragon announced that he was the new Lord of the Phoenixes, “The Phoenixes have been listening to the demands for change, and we think we can help you make decisions that will win back the support of the people” Joshua stated - but not everyone trusted him yet. People had been speculating that he was conspiring against the Auralocks with the Dark Followers, because he revealed himself as the Lord of the Phoenixes around the same time as Noah Pendragon’s recent escape from the Auralock’s custody after the Dark Followers’ attack.
Unfortunately, on May 22nd, 2020, both the Phoenix and Dark Follower bases were brutally attacked and pulverised. During this attack, Joshua Pendragon was captured and taken into custody by the Auralocks. Joshua was not there for long though, as Joshua’s right-hand man Andreu Zoldyck managed to slip into the Auralock base with the newly appointed Lead Phoenix, Spock Everard, and freed him.

Soon afterwards, the rumour regarding the Phoenixes and the Dark Followers were confirmed to be true. The Phoenixes and the Dark Followers decided to form an alliance hoping to take down Ministry leader Shakti Bhardwaj, both agreeing that the Ministry was too corrupt to be left alone. Although they did not have bases anymore, they had each other and were stronger in numbers. They quickly started planning an attack on the Auralocks and making use of the tunnels below the Ministry base, which were once a part of the old Ministry building; the attack was carried out on June 20th, 2020. Additionally, while avenging the ones they lost, the Phoenixes gathered some useful information.

Once Shakti was cornered and had nowhere to go, Joshua wanted to arrest her, but Joel disagreed and demanded that she should pay for the corruption she caused. Despite Joshua’s attempts to persuade Joel to put down his wand, Joel cast Mortiavra and ended Shakti Bhardwaj’s life. This incident broke the alliance between the Phoenixes and the Dark Followers.

Chapter 2

Joshua wrote a letter to the newly appointed Chief Auralock, inviting Matt Griffiths to a meeting with him, but not stating what they would discuss. Worried about what people might think about the Auralocks meeting with the Phoenixes and wanting to save Matt valuable time, Rani Lightwood offered to attend the meeting in Matt’s place and Matt accepted her offer.

A few days passed and Rani arrived at the meeting place. Joshua and Arabella offered the Phoenixes’ assistance in finding out what the Dark Followers were up to in exchange for the remaining files the Auralocks had in the Ministry of late Shakti Bhardwaj. Rani argued that the Phoenixes were untrustworthy because they were involved with the Dark Followers and Shakti’s assassination. However, Joshua insisted that it would be better if someone outside of the Ministry investigated this, because he knew that the Ministry would not be too keen to show the outsiders the bad side of one of their own. Rani admitted that he had a good argument, and reluctantly accepted their offer.

After a mysterious broadcast was leaked, Noah and the Dark Followers stormed into the Phoenix base through the tunnels in the caves. The Phoenixes were aware that the Dark Followers knew about the tunnels, and had prepared for their attack in advance in the event that they decided to go through with it. There were sets of traps and puzzles, which the players had to set off in the Root of the Problem live event. The Phoenixes’ smart thinking held the Dark Followers back, but not for long. A duel broke out between Andreu, the Phoenix Flamekeeper, and Noah Pendragon. Andreu put up a good fight, but unfortunately for him, Noah cast Paralotum Maxima and sent him into a comatose state. The Dark Followers spotted the Phoenix reinforcements arriving and decided to flee before they lost their victory. A vexed Joshua warned Noah that this would not be the end, telling the Dark Followers to prepare themselves for the inferno.

Some time later, Joshua and Max Fireheart were travelling by carriage when it suddenly stopped. The pair stepped out of the carriage to see what was going on but were ambushed by the Dark Hand. During the fight, Noah cast Appareo on Joshua and himself and brought them to a more secluded location in the forest nearby. The two brothers found themselves face to face for the first time since the Dark Follower attack on the Phoenixes. Noah revealed that the Ministry may still be corrupt because, below the surface, the same people who were behind Shakti’s actions were still in control at the Ministry and that they had given him bad files, which is why the investigation on Shakti led to a dead end. Noah forewarned Joshua that no good could come from siding with the Auralocks, and that only he himself could heal Andreu.

Joshua and Max decided to head back to the Phoenix base. When they arrived, a distressed Arabella told them that the Shakti files had gone missing. Joshua told Max to prepare the Phoenixes for war, and that a lot more was at stake than they realised.

On the 7th of March, 2021, Matt placed a bounty of 100,000 Gold on the Dark Hand, which consisted of Noah Pendragon, Sara Selwyn, and Henry Chimera. Unfortunately for Sara and Henry, they were kidnapped shortly after and brought to Longbay Landing. In a prompt manner, the Phoenixes arrived in the small town in their own interest. Arabella quickly found out that a potion in the town was unstable and would cause a large explosion. The Allegiances all started working together to save Longbay Landing. Sara figured out that they would be able to decrease the level of destruction the potion would cause if they could retrieve certain ingredients. The Vampire Queen, Chailey Selwyn, followed by Vampire Count Aure, set off to retrieve the ingredients. Sadly, Aure didn’t make it and Chailey was the only one to return. The Phoenixes and the other Allegiances hastily parted ways after an argument.

Phoenix Base

Surrounded by far-spreading woodland, the three parts of the Phoenix base are nestled on top of three uniquely-shaped ancient trees, bound together with sturdy wooden bridges. The walnut-coloured roofs on the tall cobblestone buildings morph into a golden brown when the sun sets, shielding the hardworking Phoenixes from the sun while they are busy finishing their daily tasks.

The Phoenix Base can be accessed by talking to the Phoenix NPC at the Roleplay Hub.
